Otim, a 38-year-old male, spent over three months with us. He was admitted with septic grade 4 pressure sores, malnutrition, lower limb weakness and anemia, having been bed ridden for a while. He underwent multiple debridements, wound dressings, battled drug-resistant infections, and received numerous transfusions, physiotherapy, and nutrition support, he was unrelentless! Finally, our plastics surgery team successful did flap and skin graft closure and was discharged home a few weeks later. The day we discharged him was jubilant – we celebrated with cake ofcourse! Overwhelmed with gratitude, Otim thanked our teams for giving him a second chance at life. He spoke a blessing upon you all & he remains on our wall of fame. What touched our hearts was his partner's unwavering support throughout his ordeal. Otim promised to renew his vows, and we even contributed to his partner's makeup and hair for the special occasion!
