Punch is learning how to groom. I just wish he’d watch without climbing onto the big monkey.

This story deeply moved me. The Monkey Who Protects Little Punch (Go-chan): An adult monkey who never leaves Punch’s side, protects him from the other monkeys, and often hugs him while gently grooming him. Go-chan used to be a circus monkey. He grew up under harsh conditions in the circus, struggled to adapt to the troop, and his health deteriorated due to stress. Later, he was brought to Ichikawa Zoo.

Joan of Arc emerged in 1429 as a 17-year-old peasant girl guided by divine voices. Dressed in men’s armor, she convinced the dauphin Charles to give her an army. Her first miracle: lifting the Siege of Orléans. After months of English domination, she broke the siege in just nine days, turning the tide of the Hundred Years’ War and earning the title “Maid of Orléans.” She then led Charles to Reims, where he was crowned King Charles VII, restoring hope to a broken France. In 1430 she was captured at Compiègne, sold to the English, and tried for heresy and wearing men’s clothes. At 19, on May 30, 1431, she was burned at the stake in Rouen. Nearly 500 years later, in 1920, the Catholic Church declared her a saint. Joan of Arc: the teenage visionary who saved her nation and became France’s eternal hero. ⚜️ Ready for your video — this will sit perfectly underneath!

If he doesn’t betray us like Steffon did, he’ll become one of my favorite characters.
