One of the foundational principles of fatherhood is this: source (Abba-father) and sustainer must go together. You cannot choose to be a source and refuse the responsibility of being a sustainer. Schools can educate, and churches can support spiritual growth, but they were never designed to substitute for parental responsibility. They complement the home; they do not take its place.
