For 2 years 3 months and 28 days, these young women have been in russian captivity They were at Azovstal until the 17th of May 2022. The first woman is a mother of two kids, she only once had an opportunity to call her relatives in Ukraine, in 2023. She is very excited to see her children again. Another girl didn’t have a chance to communicate with her relatives at all. She has a younger sister who is turning 18 soon and a woman is very happy to make such a present, be at her sister's birthday. They never seen ICRC while in captivity. They never had a chance to write a letter (which is granted by the Geneva Conventions) to their relatives while in captivity. Shame on you ICRC I don’t know these strong women, but I am so happy to see them back home.

In russia, unlike Ukraine or Europe, the tradition of Christmas carols never fully developed. This is because the russian Orthodox Church emphasized liturgical practices over folk traditions from the very beginning. During the Soviet era, with Christmas being replaced by New Year's celebrations, any potential development of Christmas traditions was further suppressed in russia. The post below is the result of cultural appropriation by russia of traditions from other nations it colonized at some point in history. Whatever you attribute to “sounds russian” never was, and never will be, russian. Archival videos of carols (1991-1999) to remember how Ukrainians celebrated Christmas Eve and Christmas over the years - 🎥Suspilne

#Mariupol is under occupation. Back to the Soviet times of long queues for food, shortages and lack of any opportunities..... The difference is in the change of "scenery". There are many destroyed buildings in the city due to shelling. Broken people and cold all around. 1/3

The number of wounded in Dnipro has increased to 13. Five of them are children. The children were hit by shards of glass when they ran to shelter, Suspilne quotes the head of the regional council. Currently, psychologists are working with them, there is no threat to their lives.

It must be the first time I have seen so many carolers, this is absolutely amazing! This is just the third year when the Christmas date is set to the original 25th of December. The Ukrainian People's Republic (UNR), the modern Ukraine's predecessor, celebrated Christmas on December 25th. It's wonderful how people are happily returning to their traditions and honoring them. In all the years when Christmas was according to the “Soviet schedule”, I have never seen so many songs and such vibrancy. When “nature is cleansed” of russian oppression, the colors of life return to their rightful place. 💫 💛💙
