Happy Commitversary to Adrian Peterson. 21 years ago today, he committed to the Sooners. A 5 ⭐️ out of Palestine, Texas, AD was ranked as the No. 1 overall player in the 2004 class. AD played three years at OU and became the first freshman to finish as a runner-up in the Heisman race. He’s considered one of the best running backs in OU history.

Eight years ago today: Baker Mayfield won the 2017 Heisman Trophy. He became the first Heisman winner to begin his career as a walk-on. Baker’s 2017 season was historic, throwing for 4,340 yards and 41 touchdowns, with just five INT’s. He even set the NCAA record for passing efficiency with a rating of 203.76. Matching his jersey number, Baker became the 6th Heisman winner in OU history.
