First time being away from my baby for more than a day and wow… nobody prepared me for this feeling 🥺 I thought I’d be okay, but the guilt? The missing him every second? Calling nonstop… then he hears my voice and starts crying 💔 so now I just watch him quietly on video like a stalker mama 😭 Is this a first-time mum thing or does it always feel like this? My heart is so heavy💔A friend of a friend has lost an 18-year-old to suicide… a quiet, deeply painful loss that didn’t make headlines but matters just as much. And then, innocent children taken in such a brutal act of violence in a place that should have been safe for them. It’s all just too much. No family should ever have to endure this kind of pain. No parent should have to bury a child. No community should wake up to such horror. To all the families affected, I am deeply sorry for your loss. This video will forever mean so much to me. When I was flying to Zanzibar to shoot it, that same week I found out I was pregnant. I was overwhelmed with so many emotions, but I had to keep it all in, smile, show up, and make sure no one noticed. I had a job to do. I remember having quiet conversations with myself, trying to process everything while still pushing through the shoot. I was there physically, but mentally, I was somewhere else. I have never done a voiceover before, but this moment truly called for one. What an experience! I couldn’t put my emotions into words.
