I told you I wasn’t going to stop and I meant it. Today, I had a productive meeting with the Ministry of Health- Uganda as we begin a partnership with Sheebah Cares Foundation and Let’s Talk About It Ug to shine a light on birth injuries, including stress urinary incontinence and other pelvic floor disorders that affect so many women after childbirth. Together, we are committed to raising awareness, promoting prevention, encouraging early diagnosis, and ensuring that every woman wherever she is knows that help is available. No woman should have to suffer in silence from a preventable or treatable birth injury. This is only the beginning. After a year and a half of struggling with a condition caused by childbirth, I finally had to travel to India for surgery, then straight back home and into court the next day. Sometimes people see the headlines, the photos, the appearances, but they don’t see what it takes to keep showing up. I was advised to rest but some responsibilities cannot be postponed and some battles are too important to walk away from, So I showed up. That’s why you see my mother, my family, and my team standing beside me. They have witnessed this journey firsthand. They know the pain, the challenges, the hospital visits, the difficult days, and everything it took for me to get to this point. Their presence wasn’t just support for a court appearance it was support for someone they have watched fight through one of the most challenging periods of her life. So Keep going. Keep believing. Keep fighting for what is yours. One day you’ll look back and realize that your toughest moments revealed your greatest strength. Three weeks in India 🇮🇳 and now back home with a grateful heart. What began as a journey for surgery became a reminder of the power of faith, love, and resilience. I thank God for seeing me through a successful procedure and bringing me safely back home. To everyone who checked on me daily, prayed for me, called, texted, and kept me in their thoughts ,thank you. Your support meant more than words can express. To those who stood by me throughout this journey and traveled with me, thank you for your care and support. And to my son,my greatest blessing, thank you for giving me a reason to keep fighting. Every time I came back from the hospital and saw your face, I felt stronger. You reminded me of what truly matters and gave me the strength to keep going.The healing continues, but today my heart is full of gratitude for life, for health, for family, for friendship, and for every prayer said on my behalf. First time being away from my baby for more than a day and wow… nobody prepared me for this feeling 🥺 I thought I’d be okay, but the guilt? The missing him every second? Calling nonstop… then he hears my voice and starts crying 💔 so now I just watch him quietly on video like a stalker mama 😭 Is this a first-time mum thing or does it always feel like this?
