A driver and his mate, both called Emmanuel, have reportedly passed away under bizarre circumstances at a hotel in Nkawkaw. According to accounts attributed to the driver before his death, the pair had stopped in the town to spend the night during a long-distance journey. They were initially asked by hotel staff to wait for about an hour before checking in, as their assigned room was reportedly being cleaned and fumigated. After returning and taking possession of the room, both men allegedly began experiencing severe breathing difficulties shortly after settling in. The assistant reportedly died first, while the driver managed to raise an alarm before he also succumbed. Authorities are currently undertaking investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident with two staff members in police custody.

Counsel for TikToker Camilla Alhassan, Kwadwo Gyamfi Bonsu, has confirmed that his client has been handed a one-year custodial sentence by the court.
