NEW: GOP Gov nominee Victor Marx releases a 3 min video responding to 9NEWS reporting on his campaign finances. He doesn't say where "unlimited" money from his merch operation is going or why a campaign filing named him as the mystery company's owner. But he did blame the media.

Glad we could amuse Pod Save

Rep Crow (D-CO) on the ceasefire after Trump's threat to end Iran's civilization: It's a good thing the President of the United States is saying he's not going to commit a war crime, but it's actually just stunning to me we're even having this discussion.. I mean, what the hell?

VIEWER FEEDBACK: I don’t say this to make you feel bad, just to let you know I don’t care what you think.

There are few reporters stealthier than Rhea Jha but I bet you can spot her unexpected on-air appearance if you look hard enough. 🕵️💨

NEW: GOP Gov nominee Victor Marx told backers on a Zoom call last night that he doesn't regret slamming his wife into a door to teach her a lesson about self-defense. "I'd do it again," Marx said. Marx says she fake cried and physicality is just the nature of their relationship.

NEW: Sen. John Hickenlooper (D) says he now regrets voting to confirm Trump’s Cabinet nominees. Hickenlooper previously claimed his support “reduced the damage” for Colorado. He said in our #COSEN debate that the strategy didn’t work.

NEW: #CO4 GOP Rep Lauren Boebert says she opposes Trump’s “detrimental” war on Iran, but said that Congress can’t stop the war through show votes. “Your job is to vote,” said Democrat Eileen Laubacher.

NEW: GOP Rep Lauren Boebert denied vaping during a Denver Center for the Performing Arts musical before being kicked out Sunday. @Marshall9News got the video. Take a look. #copolitics

NEW: Tina Peters, newly freed by Colorado Gov Jared Polis (D), begins her MAGA media tour by telling Steve Bannon that Democrats are cheating on elections and she was imprisoned as retribution for exposing voting machines that flip votes.

Amendment 87 would tax Coloradans making $500k+ a year. Opponents including Gov Jared Polis (D) are misleadingly claiming it will raise taxes on low-income seniors and vets.

The only face-to-face meeting in the Colorado Gov's race was both odd and unsurprising. The questions and one candidate's answers were scripted in advance. Voters hoping to finally learn what Republican Victor Marx knows and believes only learned that he knows how to read.

Squirrels on suicide missions have knocked out power to Castle Rock, Colorado twice this week. Our investigation has revealed a century of squirrel attacks covered up by the pro-squirrel media.

Melat Kiros has said the massacre of Israeli civilians on Oct 7 was "the inevitable consequence of apartheid." I asked Kiros if she thought the same thing about 9/11 and US foreign policy. And she declined to call the firebombing of Jews in Boulder an act of anti-semitism.

Victor Marx claims to have been forced to kill a man at age 7. And he talks about the necessity of killing people in the course of his "high-risk missionary" work. So I asked him how many people he's killed on his missions. "Does it matter?" Marx said.

GOP Rep Lauren Boebert is OK with Trump punishing Colorado over immigration, climate research, or Tina Peters. Just not her district's project. "These are people who overwhelmingly voted for President Trump," Boebert told me. "These are not the people who should be attacked"

NEW: Palantir, Colorado's most valuable publicly traded company, suddenly departed for Florida today. The Governor and Denver's Mayor say they were blindsided. @Marshall9News reports for Next with Kyle Clark:

Colorado Gov Jared Polis (D) released Tina Peters, saying she was remorseful despite obvious evidence to the contrary. “I do show remorse,” Peters said today. “The remorse is that people that should be in prison are not. That's my remorse.”

Governor Polis' first press conference since he granted clemency to Tina Peters focused on healthy foods. POLIS: "While I chew on the carrot, any questions?" (reporters asked about Peters/clemency) POLIS: "I'm going to finish chewing my carrot."

NEW: In a new audio recording, GOP Gov nominee Victor Marx suggests that his campaign filed someone else's large contribution under Marx's name to avoid campaign finance limits.

COMMENTARY: A whole lot of celebrities are loved. Dolly Parton loved you back.

A conservative dark money group is running Prop 132 asking voters to put more Coloradans in prison for fentanyl. Is it backed by people who make money off private prisons? Don’t know. It’s dark money.

In March, I asked Tina Peters whether she and/or Donald Trump would be in prison in a year or two. She laughed and said if she thought she was going to prison she'd be relaxing on a beach somewhere. Today, she was taken into custody to begin a 9-year sentence. #copolitics
