The ability to truly celebrate others wins in the wake of the biggest defeat of your life to me shows the highest character. Ilia Malinin has been like a proud dad watching the rest of the Olympic skating. He will go far in both skating and life.

I’ve never wanted to hug a stranger so bad before. USA’s Maxim Naumov competed in his first Olympics 1 year after losing both parents in the DC plane crash. He fell twice in his men’s final skate, but most people wouldn’t even be there in those circumstances. I hope he’s proud 🥹

4 years ago Bo Davidson had quit baseball, he was playing slow pitch softball and working at a warehouse. 3 years ago he was virtually unknown playing in community college when a Giants scout accidentally discovered him. On Monday, Bo made history with a hit, stolen base and run in his MLB debut. Never give up on your dreams. SF Giants on NBCS #sfgiants

SOMEONE CALL WARNER BROTHERS, PARAMOUNT, NETFLIX, THIS NEEDS TO BE A MOVIE!!! Warriors/Valkyries owner Joe Lacob’s first pro sports team was the San Jose Lasers of the ABL (women’s hoops) in 1996. The league folded 2 years later, Joe lost $10mil but still believed in women’s basketball. 30 years to the day the Lasers played their first game, the Valkyries will play in game 1 of WNBA Finals. A remarkable story and a group of incredible women doing the unthinkable in year 2. #WNBA #basketball #valkyries #NBA

This needs more coverage. Flavor Flav is the first official sponsor & hype man for the USA bobsled & skeleton team, he did the same thing w/ the USA women’s water polo team. (The athletes do not get paid by Team USA to compete). He’s truly a champion for women in sports.

The beautiful game does it again. Scenes in Boston have been unbelievable as Scots & Americans unite, including a viral friendship formed after a shocking bagpipe wake up call in suburban Boston. The joy of Tartan Army is a great example for us all. ❤️⚽️ #scotland #usa🇺🇸 #boston #worldcup

The beautiful thing about the World Cup is seeing people from all walks of life come together. This week the people of Lawrence, KS have gone above & beyond to embrace and essentially adopt Team Algeria. This is the best of America, let’s spread the word about the positive. #worldcup #usa #algeria

Hailey Van Lith is the only player in the gym after the Chicago Sky loss to the Atlanta Dream. 30+ mins after the game she’s been working out & putting up shots, and I’ve seen her do this before when she doesn’t play a lot. You gotta admire the work ethic. #Skytown #wnba

In 2007, the family of Lamine Yamal entered him in a raffle to be photographed with a player from Barcelona. They won, and Lamine was paired with a young Lionel Messi for a photo shoot. All these years later, Yamal will face Messi in a World Cup final as a teenage sensation, while Messi is now the GOAT who will be the oldest to ever start a final at 39yrs. You are more likely to be struck by lightning multiple times than this happening. Destiny. #worldcup #spain #argentina

Giants fans, time for a panic meter check in. 33 games in, the Giants are 13-20, they’ve lost 5 straight, and are last in MLB in runs scored, home runs, walks & steals. Alex Pavlovic is ready to sound the PANIC alarm on the offense. What do you think? SF Giants on NBCS #sfgiants

Bryce Eldridge told me yesterday that his older brother Ben is a big part of his recent success & the first person he calls for baseball advice outside of the Giants. He said Ben pours through all of the stats pages, baseball savant, studies his swing mechanics to give him tips. Someone get Ben on the SFGiants payroll, so wholesome! 🤣🥹 #sfgiants SF Giants on NBCS

Giants SS Willy Adames getting some detailed instruction from Infield Coach Ron Washington who’s widely regarded as one of the best in the biz. Adames had an unfortunate error in yesterday’s loss, but he’s been a strong defender throughout his career and seems extra locked in today. #sfgiants SF Giants on NBCS

One of the World Cup’s greatest traditions - Japanese soccer fans bringing their own trash bags & cleaning up stadiums. That respect & pride are ingrained in the culture, starting in kindergarten, kids are given a rag & expected to clean the classroom every day, even mopping floors. The Japanese live by the mantra of leaving a place better than they found it. We could all learn something from them. #japan #worldcup #usa

Logan Webb says Casey Schmitt put himself on the map and should be proud of the year he had. He also told me he’s texted Schmitt several times and given him hugs while reminding him this injury isn’t permanent. The #SFgiants announced that Schmitt tore his meniscus after leaving yesterday’s game. Schmitt was on pace for 32 home runs while enjoying a career year. NBC Sports Bay Area & CA

Idk if people are ready for this but there needs to be conversations had about Olivia Miles in the MVP race (yes A’ja is still the front runner). She could be a future face of the league with what she’s shown in a historic rookie campaign so far. Thoughts? Shoutout to Women’s Hoops Network for posting great highlights. #wnba #minnesotalynx

You love to see Steph Curry always supporting women’s sports. He took time on his off day to attend the Cal vs Stanford WBB game with his mom Sonya, and then even gave a postgame pep talk to the Golden Bears who fought really hard. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 #dubnation

If anyone is interested here is a full 2 minute breakdown I did on all that FLAVOR FLAV is doing to support the USA women. It goes well beyond just hyping them up, he’s amazing.
