For years and years, John Leguizamo claimed to be half Puerto Rican. After he was honored at the Puerto Rican Day parade in 2011 and told reporters his father was from Aguadilla, his father publicly contradicted him, saying the family is Colombian and has no connection to Puerto Rico. But Leguizamo still claimed to have family in Puerto Rico during a 2017 talk show appearance. The truth of his family history was confirmed in a 2022 episode of Finding Your Roots. He claimed that he had believed his family had connections to Puerto Rico because there is a barrio there with his surname. But that story doesn’t explain the very specific untrue claims he’s made about his family over the years. All this time he’s been whining about other actors not matching the ethnicity of the roles while lying about his own ethnicity. He also appears to have lied about his age throughout his career, making himself 4 years younger.

The Des Moines Superintendent of Schools was arrested for being an alleged illegal alien, and instead of being outraged that they were hoodwinked, local residents protest in support of him. Leftist social media is in an uproar about “fascism.” It’s possible that ICE made a mistake, but his biography is so implausible on its face that it should ring alarm bells. (More on that in a bit.) It’s scary to me how so many people react in such a knee-jerk way and don’t employ any independent thinking.

I rewatched Prince’s iconic Super Bowl halftime show from 2007, and one difference that jumped out at me—other than the massive disparity in talent —was that Prince was performing for a live audience rather than for the cameras. Bad Bunny’s performance might as well have been prerecorded. The audience in the stands had a subpar experience. The magic that comes from a live show was missing.

She says that he claimed to be a citizen and that the outside firm hired to do a background check did not turn up any concerns about his immigration status. She concluded with a plea to “cool down the rhetoric” and to stop spreading “misinformation,” urging people to consider how upsetting the situation is for children, who she said are on social media “24/7.”

According to Omar himself, Hendrix went to her car and called someone, asking him to come help her because a man was following her and recording her. Omar denied that he was following her, but the video clearly shows Hendrix repeatedly trying to move away while Omar continued to pursue her. What an odd response from Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha. He wasn’t actually asked a question—after taking a few minutes to think, he stepped up to the podium to respond to an earlier question about the Brown University taking down some webpages. That question was directed to the university president and to the Providence Police Chief. The reporter didn’t mention any specific name. Why was Neronha so visibly irritated? He pointed out that universities take down pages for all sorts of reasons. Yes, and a response could have ended the speculation. Instead, officials claimed no knowledge of why the pages were removed. It’s hardly a “really dangerous road” to ask the question, as Neronha repeatedly said. He was adamant that if any name “meant anything to this investigation,” authorities would publicly announce it. Really? That’s not how active investigations typically work. Law enforcement rarely releases suspect names before they are taken into custody. He ends by requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect, while chastising the public for speculating about this particular person. I haven’t followed this story closely, but his statements were so strange I had to comment.

Kirk replies, “Well, you cancelled school for like two years—what’s one day going to do?” Newsom just laughs. That laugh means, “My kid went to private schools that stayed open while I forced millions of public school children to suffer.” That laugh means, “I haven’t faced accountability and am betting I never will.” Maybe this illustrates why a governor shouldn’t become a talk show host. A governor isn’t allowed to casually laugh off serious issues like this.
