The time has come to create our own towns, industries and economic centres even in places others call “the middle of nowhere.” Hershey, PA and Kannapolis, NC in America started with one factory on open land. The towns followed. I built a milk processing plant in Eor Ekule, Narok. It is steadily becoming the largest plant employer in the local area. Now I’m developing a small town at Empura, on the route to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. People doubted. That’s exactly why it had to start. Soon, 19-year-old Maasai boys and girls will have the chance to apply for jobs in Narok West as sales representatives or young managers. The town will also include a small financial centre, a hospital and a police station for safety. One act of courage can seed a town. Let’s build.
