My Dad is 70 in December so as a family we bought him a new Range Rover that we are collecting now. Look at this for build quality - I mean it beggars belief! I wouldn’t mind too much if it was for me, but he’s had a bad health year and this was meant to be a special day.

Happy Birthday to the great Brian Lister - founder of Lister, who would have been 100 years old today. To me, he was the last of his generation, a man who with hardly any budget who built racing cars with a handful of his friends and went on to beat the big boys! As a person he was an absolute English gentleman. Always sporting a bow tie, well spoken and extremely modest. When we finished the first Lister Continuation Knobbly, I asked Quentin Willson to take it to Brian’s home to show him the car and if he agreed to interview him. I wasn’t to know he would sadly pass away just over a week later. A clip of that interview is the video attached. There is a longer version on YouTube on the Lister Cars account.
