🗣️ Immediate reaction from LIV Golf Indy Individual Champion, Michael La Sasso SU-ANN: Michael, congratulations. You were stoke the entire day and you just took down two massive titans. How surreal is this entire experience? LA SASSO: I don't even know what to say. I'm shaking if I'm being honest. It was unbelievable. I thought I played great all day and just kind of waited for my moment, and it finally came on the last. Pretty funny. SU-ANN: We all knew the potential that you had coming into this season with us on LIV. You didn't quite have the season you wanted but you capped it off the right way. How much of this is validation for you? LA SASSO: Yeah, you know, I told our social media guy last night, I said, I'll be honest, this is going to be the one I win. I spoke it into existence well before this week. The fact that it's actually come true, it's unbelievable, but yeah, I'm at a loss for words. SU-ANN: I just saw you hugging your mom and dad, your first professional win ending in such fashion. Talk us through your emotions right now. LA SASSO: I'm so glad they're here to see it. I had a bunch of buddies texting me last night asking if they should fly in, and I said I was going to win anyway, but you might as well for come for the show. So it it ended up working itself out. #LIVGolfIndy | HyFlyers GC

Individual Championship defended 🤝 Jon Rahm Rodriguez SU-ANN: "Jon, congratulations. It's your third consecutive season-long title. When you look back at your season, regardless of what happened this week, what are you the most proud of?" RAHM: "Yeah, the last two weeks haven't been the best, have they. I would say proud of earlier in the season. I think to start off as well as I did with a few second places and not getting the win and then going to Hong Kong and getting it done when I needed to, having a lead and then basically losing it and birdieing four in a row in the last few holes was probably the most proud moment." "It's been great. It's been a great year. Again, a little sour taste in my mouth because of how badly I played this week. But it's been something to be proud of." "After last year and not getting the win, having possibly a question mark over the season-long race, to win twice and do it effectively and win it again definitely feels good." #LIVGolfNewYork | Legion XIII

😂 Bryson DeChambeau couldn't believe it QUESTION: Paul [Casey]'s back obviously this week. Today he led the field in driving distance... BRYSON: Really? How many cart paths did he hit? QUESTION: I was going to ask you if you thought he was sneaky long, I don't know. BRYSON: I don't know what he was doing in those nine weeks off! No, he's always been sneaky long. It's funny, he has this piercing low bullet. He's such a great player, I'm so glad to have him back on the team. I need him, we need him for the last few weeks of this year. Travis was great, but ultimately Paul's been a stable piece in our team and very excited to have him back and glad he's healthy. #LIVGolfUK | Crushers GC

REPORTER: "Can you describe the biggest difficulty out there? A few people going into the start thought the scores would be a lot lower. Obviously 3-under is leading" RAHM: "People thought it would be lower?" REPORTER. "People thought the scoring would be lower this morning" RAHM: "Have you been out there? Have you seen the golf course?" REPORTER: "Yeah" RAHM: "You know what, I can understand because, if you just go by some of the numbers, some of the fairways are wide, the greens aren't crazy firm. But a lot of those fairways are sloped in a way that they play very narrow. Like 15 today, I thought I was going to be in the fairway undoubtedly, and I was off the fairway. Same on 10, same on 4. It can easily roll off" "Then the rough doesn't look as long as many other majors, but it's such a thick blade of grass that, even when the lie looks okay, it catches you so bad" "So I can see how in appearance it might be easier, but it's not. You need to play really good golf to shoot lower than 3-under. And then on top of that, those pin locations today are good ones. I mean, they're tucked. They're not easy" "There was somebody earlier in the week where there was some chatter where people thought 15- to 20-under was going to win. And I think that got to somebody in the PGA, and they did something about it. Because if the golf course stays like this and it keeps firming up, yeah, obviously it's not going to be anything like that" #PGAChamp | Legion XIII

🗣️ Ian Poulter on his McLaren irons QUESTION: "Obviously there's been a lot of focus on the McLaren irons. Have they made that much of a difference right away? How would you categorize it?" POULTER: "Yeah, I put them in the bag, and obviously we knew when the launch was going to be, so I had a few weeks to dial them in. Having a couple of weeks and really spending some good time with them to fine tune them exactly how I want them, it wasn't an issue putting them straight in the bag. I felt they looked better, turf interaction was better, the divots were better, ball flight was better, so it's a pretty easy switch to be able to put them in the bag" QUESTION: "Is it more of a mental thing in terms of confidence, or is it a balance of physical and mental in terms of the gains that you get from those kind of clubs?" POULTER: "Yeah, it's 5-iron to 9-iron in series one. I think the first thing you have to do is really like what you're looking at. The engineers and the design team have made a really good-looking golf club. When I put it down, it's already pleasing on the eye, so it gives you a good feeling when you stand over the ball. They perform very well. I've had no issues at all with them" "Yeah, I'm enjoying having them in the bag" #LIVGolfKorea | Majesticks Golf Club

🇦🇺 Cam Smith on current Open leader Lucas Herbert QUESTION: Just back on Herbert, what growth have you seen in him the last couple years to the point where he's at in his career? He's in the sweet spot of his professional life at the moment. SMITH: Yeah, just he works hard. He keeps wanting to get better. He was already good when he come and joined the Rippers a couple years ago, and you've seen him go from strength to strength. I feel like the team environment has really helped him, and he's asked questions. Now I think he's learned everything he needs to learn, and he's taking advantage of it and playing really good golf. And he's so confident at the moment. Like once he gets going, like this morning I'm sure he's just hitting it in there to three and four feet on every hole and making putts. Like once he gets his irons going, it's pretty cool to watch. #TheOpen | Ripper GC

📞 Cam Smith talks through one of the hardest phone calls of his life... QUESTION: "What's going to be the one thing that you take away from putting yourself back in this position?" CAM: "I mean, just belief that I'm doing the right thing. That's really it. It was a hard call to make to my coach. I had been seeing Grant since I was 9 years old. So I'd been with him for 23 years, and probably one of the most difficult phone calls I've ever had to make" "And, yeah, it's still kind of lingering, but I feel like I've made the right call, and I can see it in my golf and just my strike of the ball and seeing some different shots. It's been nice" #PGAChamp | Ripper GC

🗣️ Immediate reaction from LIV Golf UK presented by JCB champion, Lucas Herbert: JERRY: I don't know where to begin. I don't know what I just saw. Was there a consistent theme to the internal dialogue that led to this kind of performance this week? What were you thinking? HERBERT: I don't know. I think last week gave me a lot of confidence that I can mix it with the best guys. Just wanted to really carry that into this week the best I could. I think I got out of my own way the first two rounds and I started thinking about it yesterday. Yeah, it was just good to play like that today when I was being pushed by two of the best players in the world. JERRY: I remember vividly following you when you won your first event on the PGA TOUR in Bermuda. On that final hole, you were visibly nervous on your second shot. You looked like you were immune to nerves all week long. How does that come about? HERBERT: I think it was a bit of a trick in hiding it. I was definitely feeling it out there. I can only do what I can do. I was able to take care of what I needed to do today pretty well to get me over the line. I knew it wasn't going to be a day where even par, 1-under was going to get it done for me. I knew I had to go out there and get it. Just kept pushing myself the whole way, and here we are JERRY: Did you ever hit some shots, notably the bunker shot in addition to so many others this week, where you just shook your head, like, I can't believe how good this is going? HERBERT: There's definitely a lot of shots -- I can think of the first shot on 10, I kind of pull one, and you're asking for it to get a good lie in the hay, lands in the rough and kicks all the way down there, you get on the green and make eagle. It was one of those weeks, just when you needed a good break. I think of the 6th hole today up the hill, the par-5, it finishes half a foot inside the short stuff and I can get it greenside. I'm looking at the lie, a foot right of that, and it could have been a load of trouble. I played great this week, but also, I got a lot of good breaks, which is really nice. It's good to take advantage of those when they come. #LIVGolfUK | Ripper GC
