Extraordinary admissions from the ex-CEO of Oxfam GB, Helima Begum. She tells Channel 4 News that Oxfam: -Had a disproportionate focus on Gaza compared to other world crises; -Were pushing to use the term 'genocide' re: Gaza without checks -Struggled to be impartial & neutral Many had suspected this of course, but it's shocking to hear it said out loud.

I don't know who advised Gary Lineker to do this interview with Amol Rajan, if anyone, but it's a complete car crash. This bit is actually painful to watch: he doesn't understand impartiality, facts or BBC editorial guidelines. (The body language: "HELPP! I am way, way out of my depth".) eg. Rajan: "Audiences didn't know that the child was the son of a Hamas official, isn't that a problem?" GL: "I don't think so, no" Rajan: "But the BBC as a whole needs to be impartial about it." GL: "Why?" Strewth.

"If I said something racist right now, I have no doubt that I would be off air within 2 seconds…Someone sensible, smart & rational would press a button and I would be off air...But someone representing the BBC chose to keep that feed going, rather than breaking away & immediately apologising." - ex director of BBC TV Danny Cohen

In all the furore about #BobVylan, most people have conveniently forgotten that the ranting was preceded by a rabidly antisemitic story - live on the BBC - about his former Jewish boss, who he called “a f*cking Zionist” and “bald-headed c*nt”. We know what you meant, Pascal.

National treasure Maureen Lipman addresses protestors outside the BBC: “The highest paid employee Gary Lineker speaks out regularly for the anti-Zionists. It is the anti-Zionist activist Miriam Margolyes who has a permanent seat to be flatulent on BBC chat shows..And it was Jeremy Bowen who mis-reported the bombing of a hospital in Gaza and refused to apologise when it became clear the bomb was from Gaza.”

Shocking misinformation from the BBC's Global News Director, Jonathan Munro, on whether Hamas controls how local Gazan journalists operate: "They're not restricted in what they are able to see and show. There may be physical restrictions - for example, not many of them have much fuel to go from one town to another - but there is no restriction on what they can show, what they can see and what they can film when they're on location. There is no suggestion at all that any of those people are under any political influence." This is utter rubbish, sadly. Hamas's tight - and often violent - control over journalists has been well known for years. How on earth can the BBC claim not to know this?

Fascinated by BBC London’ reporting on Kanye. Their reporter tells us Kanye made “antisemitic remarks” which were “opposed by Jewish groups.” This is minimisation by omission. Why not provide the important detail? He released a song called Heil Hitler. He sold swastika shirts. He’s been praising Nazism for years. Jewish groups and many, many others - including politicians from all sides - have called for him to be banned. I think the viewers deserve to know that.

Jaw dropping interview on BBC Radio 4’s The World Tonight by an organiser of the (banned) Al-Quds Day march, who says: *The Iranian Ayatollah “stood on the side of justice” *he’d happily stand with a placard of the Ayatollah *he trusts the regime’s claimed death toll last month; implies protestors deserved to be killed because they were armed What an own goal #alqudsday

Incredibly disappointing to see the BBC1 news bulletin's short item about #HolocaustMemorialDay fail to mention Jews *at all*. If Jews & antisemitism are continually eradicated from the narrative around HMD, you will never teach future generations the lessons of the Holocaust.

Leo Pearlman, CEO of TV giant Fulwell Entertainment, tells The Media Show on BBC Radio 4: “The BBC make a huge deal of adding to every news script from Gaza by saying that Israel doesn’t allow independent access for journalists. What it never says - and maybe should start doing - is that no journalist can operate freely in Gaza under Hamas control.”
