Highest 2 Lowest is one Spike Lee's stupidest films. Its gift was exposing so many Letterboxd-Americans as frauds who felt obligated to give it 3.5 and 4 stars for reasons unrelated to filmmaking. However, I saw it in a packed theater in Atlanta full of uncs and aunties when I was sent to Athens to do a Q&A for Mass State Lottery, and I had a great time and really loved this part of the movie.
