i have been tinkering around with objects that make noise since i could walk. the piano has been a constant in my life. keyboards, synths, beat machines, controllers. each were ways to express something i felt/saw/needed. i feel lucky to have a group of you who appear to enjoy the stuff i make. i have been thinking a lot about discovery as of late. not just about artists, but about the concept in general. the feeling you get when you find something that you didn’t expect. particularly in music. streaming services think they know what you want to hear before you do. but that’s not discovery. thats math. there was a time when discovering art or buying music meant taking a risk. you heard one song on the radio. you bought the album. you lived with the rest. side A is built around that feeling. pick a category. mint a 1/1. receive a player loaded with 11 songs. every player is different. every song and every collection is unique. you cannot preview the music. you cannot see the track list. you cannot choose specific songs. you can only decide whether discovery is still worth something. soon lenk below ➕

some words : i wanted to create something referential to Mexico City, Museo Diego Rivera Anahuacalli and the culture. i kept finding myself reading about cenotes (sinkholes). i loved the idea of exploring cenotes as a subject. sudden, massive drops right in the middle of solid ground. in mayan mythology, they were literal gateways to xibalba, the underworld. that’s where the title comes from. for the ancients, falling into that darkness meant crossing over into the realm of gods and myth. today, we’re all just nomads wandering an endless, hypersaturated landscape of information. we pace in circles, fully suited up for a daily routine of infinite impulses. but instead of sacred underground rivers, the voids we face now are just massive black holes where our time goes to die. they are the endless scrolls, the digital rabbit holes, the mindless distractions where we willingly dump hours of our lives. the prompt asks what carries enough meaning to become myth in an age of infinite information. maybe it’s not some grand story or hero. maybe our modern myth is the void itself, this collective, shared experience of sleepwalking through life, constantly getting swallowed by the things that waste our time. the art is a 1:50 video (100mb), made using procreate, midjourney for model generation, after effects, and a combination of two of my dumb vfx robots. on the score - i wrestled with the composition of the music for some time. it was important that the music met the theme - dark, but hopeful, ominous at times, but also left the listener with a feeling of something deeper but unexplained. a heartfelt thank you to Museo Diego Rivera Anahuacalli, Jared_poz: 8NAP Founder, 8NAP ART and SuperchiefGalleryNFT for including me in what is now my first museum exhibition. edition of 100 - releasing tomorrow. link to follow. ➕

on the memes for months, collectors and friends i highly respect have asked about whether i would submit work for the memes. i was always concerned my work wasn't enough. so i held back. today that changed. i submitted my first work titled , a clusterfck of art - drawn, animated and generative with original music. in less than a day, i've been made to feel welcome, encouraged and supported in an ecosystem that 12 hours ago, i didn't really understand. thank you friends, new and old, for giving me the space to share the work. i hope you like it. (lenk below) this isn’t a prediction anymore it is a refusal, a middle finger, a to everything and everyone that tried to bury us and failed. culture > capital memes > money ily ₥
