everyone complaining about max taking her time again you completely missed the whole plot. the exit back to the real world was in the cave where vecna won’t go into. so he wasn’t a threat at that moment. on top of that, she knew the music stopping wasn’t an issue, because all she needed was lucas. she also wasn’t leaving without getting holly out too. she needed to give holly the strength to find her exit. this moment WAS IMPORTANT

prioritizing max as a central role was truly one of the best things the writers did in this whole series. with this cliffhanger leading into the final battle in s4, max at the center and the sinclair siblings behind her, we had it so good. the show truly peaked here 😭

this makes me so sad for max. while everyone else was moving on with their lives and going into sophomore year, she was still on the run, trapped inside henry’s mind. she literally died in such a brutal way, only to wake up inside a monster’s head, forced to relive her trauma.

can’t get over how hoppers compliment probably meant a lot to nancy considering how much men underestimated her in the past

Let me explain myself, because people in the replies are giving me smart-ass answers and claiming I don’t watch the show. YES, I know she wandered his mind for 18 months, but that’s not what I’m talking about. I mean before that — when he caught up to her as she was about to escape for the first time. She was still fresh in his mind, and I doubt she had found anything important YET. So why didn’t he just let her go before she even had a chance to go through his memories? Maybe it’s just me, but he already got the kill he needed from her. At that point, I would’ve just let her go so she wouldn’t find a way to potentially defeat me.
