This is what seems to confuse some Nigerians 🇳🇬 and Ghanaians 🇬🇭. They don’t understand how South Africans can coexist with, and even enjoy being around white people. To some, it seems like we should still be consumed by hatred. I always tell people that South Africans are remarkably resilient, forgiving, and focused on moving forward. Every country has its own painful history and its own divisions. For example, tensions between some Igbos and some Fulanis are rooted in historical conflicts that continue to shape people’s views. At some point, though, we have to choose whether we let the past define our future. Forgiveness doesn’t mean forgetting,it means refusing to let hate control your life. Life is too short. Let’s heal, move on, and build a better future together.

If you have been wondering where and how Vic met her man Black Coffee ,here’s goes : in her speech Victoria won the hearts of many South Africans when she honoured her man Nathi Maphumulo “ The first time I met Nathi was back in 2018, I was out for dinner with friends. I had absolutely no idea who he was, and honestly …I’m very happy about that because I didn’t see the fame or the Legend. I simply saw a man who made me laugh , a man with confidence and a man with incredible style. But looking back, I now realise that it was a gift because I got to meet Nathi before I met Black Coffee. Sometimes the most important moments in life arrive quietly..no big announcements not dramatic , just 2people crossing paths without realising their lives are about to change forever. When I was young, as a little girl I remember looking up in the sky in my village . I didn’t ask for much, I didn’t ask for success, and I didn’t ask for fame. I asked for one thing..someone to love me exactly the way I am. And sometimes I think about the possibility under the same sky that a certain young boy may be asking for the exact same thing…and that was you.
