Last night on NDTV, I asked the NTA director, courtesy Shiv Aroor. There are 5 questions that bother me on the NEET paper leak and I asked: 1. Public MBBS seat costs about Rs.5 lacs while a private one costs Rs.1.5 crores. The financial incentive for families and brokers is far too high. How do you counter the imbalance? 2. NEET is pen & paper exam. The physical paper is transported to 5000+ Centers and at least 200,000 hands. The time gap is often weeks before the exam. How do we solve this? 3. Only NTA knows the extent of the leak. The fact that they cancelled the exam means it is substantial. What was the extent of the leak? 4. Was anyone punished for the 2024 leak fiasco? Can we have a white paper on what we learnt from 2024? 5. Can India reduce the dependence on a single entrance exam that determines the fate of students? If we have 50% weightage for school scores, we can curb the coaching mafia menace..

Watch: The happenings and skeletons falling off the CBSE cupboard no longer surprise me. Here, a reporter at Careers360 buys CBSE class 12th Student data, possibly hacked and downloaded and being sold openly despite MeitY-NICSI and CBSE HQ data protection policy.

If you want to understand the callousness of establishment with and the pain of students when exams get cancelled, you must watch this. The UGC NET exam was held on 18th June 2024 and cancelled next day. About 9.18 lac students took the exam. The Indian Cyber Crime Coordination centre (I4C) disclosed that the exam paper was available on dark web on 27th June, a day before the exam day. The MoE confirmed that exam paper was being sold for Rs.5000 on telegram channels a day before the exam date. The CBI concluded there was no actual paper leak and filed a closure report. The entire episode was traced back to a school student who doctored a screenshot of the genuine UGC-NET question paper from 18 June 2024, backdating it to 17 June, to give the impression he had obtained it a day before the exam. The UGC NET 2024 was conducted all over again because I4C and MoE raised a false alarm to cancel an exam. And 9 lac students suffered!!

Forget demographic dividend. We will soon face a demographic nightmare. In the last 10 years: 1. 93000 schools closed down. 2. Enrolment in schools fell 2.41 Crores 3. Population shot up by 15.4 Crores. In 2015, India had 20.7% people enrolled in schools. In 2025, we have 16.8% enrolled in schools. We saw a 19% drop in school enrolment in proportion to population in a decade. All this is UDISE data, which is government data.

The man in this video is Prof. Laxmidhar Behera, Director at IIT - Mandi. The institute made it compulsory for all BTech graduates at the IIT to learn about spirituality, reincarnation, sub-consciousness etc. Listen to him and you will shudder about the future of our IITs that you may not want your child to study there.

I don’t see the same outrage that we had for the gig workers that we need to have for our fresh engineers. Maybe, because, we all are a party to the exploitation, either as a parent or as an employer. A Fresh recruit from India’s engineering colleges, employed by Tata Consultancy Services designated Assistant Systems Engineer Trainee, earned 3.16 Lacs in 2007. Today, in 2026, it is Rs. 3.36 lacs. This is the same for every other ITeS companies like Infosys Wipro @AccentureJobsIN too. All this while profits of ITeS quadrupled, cost of BTech degree quadrupled, inflation doubled and students baked out of these colleges multiplied 7 to 8 times. In fact, gig workers earn more than our engineers. Watch this data. And ignore it, if you can..

The person in the video is Aayushi Sharma. She works with Adda 247, a google and Infoedge funded company. In this video, she tells students to come on 27th Feb at 4 AM to her class and she will leak the paper. I know it is her experience that makes her guess the paper. We used to call it sample/model paper in our times. However, the way it is being presented of ‘paper out’ and ‘paper leak’ is dangerous. Many vulnerable students will give up their normal preparation and start relying only on such leaks. Short cuts and zero learning for click baits and audience share are dangerous. Just last week, a channel of Shobhit Nirvaan ‘leaked’ the English paper at 4 AM. However, in the exam, the paper was completely different. A similar thing happened for physics paper too. Students were upset and started trolling the English teacher so much that the channel sent her into hiding. She will be hiding, but how about the students who will now fail in the exam? Can they hide from the result? When you say ‘I set the paper’ or ‘ I will leak the paper at 4 AM’, you are making the student take a chance based on your guesses. You may be correct in 5 of the 6 subjects but all it takes is one exam to fail you. One cannot be correct every time! Do these teachers have the right to decide the fate of the student with such mercenary tactics? They may be doing a good job of teaching but do we allow them to mislead, misinform and take a risk on students results? This is not just about awareness. It’s a challenge to the Ministry of Education CBSE HQ PMO India Narendra Modi . Clamp down on this industry before it destroys more young lives. If you care about education, share this. If you demand action, make noise. Together, we can stop this race to the bottom. #CoachingScam #ExposeTheTruth #FixEducation

Rishi Kumar, an NLU student wrote an article ‘The Supreme Court of India has no spine’. This when the SC asked CBSE & NCERT to remove a chapter on corruption in judiciary. The government & NCERT gave in. His college, an NLU wants the story to be deleted. He refuses.

Watch these videos to understand how the YouTube class rooms function? This isn’t a slip as many justify? Have you ever wondered how the sigma male bytes given in class rooms always have someone shooting a video? You walk into an exam Center after the exam and have a bunch of kids surrounding you and saying ‘same question aaya’ and a video shoot emerges? This was always the plan. A videographer is always at hand when they do the sigma male thing. It is a plan to grab eyeballs. It is a click bait. It is a plan to make short videos with BGM and have friendly handles share them. Some are even shared on official handles. Go through the handles that share such videos and you will find a pattern. Speaking to Modi Ji or talking about ‘Paper Out’ isn’t an off the cuff remark. It is executing a plan. The person in one of the video is Navneet Bhargava. He is a Physics teacher from Darbhanga, Bihar. He runs a YouTube channel called Max Physics. Watch his interaction with students to understand what our children are being exposed to. Remember the time when a Russian tourist was sexually harassed and asked her ‘rate’? This ‘knowledge’ is taught in the YT class rooms. Please Watch. Increasingly, to be seen as a sigma male, to show off, for bravado, to be seen as not ‘hesitating’, some of the YouTube teachers and faculty are talking stuff that is not just wrong but criminal. In the garb of connecting with students, they talk abusive language, use slang, sexual innuendos.

The India tutoring and Coaching space is on a desperate race to the Bottom. It has become a cesspool of deception - lies, fake narratives, sexist slurs, and even erotica - all in a desperate race for clicks, audiences and profits. The person in the video is Prashant Kirad. He founded a company called Next toppers . People also call them ‘Paper Leakers’. They proudly to tell students that they will leak the paper a day before the exam. In the video, he is seen talking to ‘MODI JI’ and taking notes on the questions that will come in the exam, next day. Starting today, I will show one misleading ad, a false claim, an unethical practice. It should outrage us and hopefully the people sitting in power too. This is not just about awareness. It’s a challenge to the Ministry of Education CBSE HQ PMO India Narendra Modi . Clamp down on this industry before it destroys more young lives. If you care about education, share this. If you demand action, make noise. Together, we can stop this race to the bottom. #CoachingScam #ExposeTheTruth #FixEducation Next toppers

Students perusing Btech are trapped in an AICTE regulation that mandates an internship after semester 2,4,6 & 8. However, the colleges are not mandated to make such internships available. The students have to secure their own internships. Those studying in smaller towns, or in tier 2 or tier 3 colleges struggle and are paying scamsters to obtain an internship certificate. In VTU, 46% students paid to get an internship certificate. In places like Noida, companies have been formed to monetise the ‘opportunity’. With about 15 lac to 20 lac students adding to our Btech enrolment each year, the internships needed would be between 6 million to 8 million internships across various semesters. That indeed is an EdTech startup ‘opportunity’ that Indian VCs will fund.
