On the way back home, something unexpected happened... My taxi driver, Erman, was curious about the billboard, so I pitched my coding course (CodeFast). He said he always wanted to learn coding and would buy the course. I thought he was being nice and didn't believe he actually would. We moved on and talked about his pork farm in Benin. He bought it for $100,000 and makes ~$50,000/year. When we arrived at my place, he asked again about my course, hmmm... I told him to scan the QR code for a discount, and he pulled out his credit card. He bought it in front of me!! So today I got 2 customers ($299 + $169) with my stupid marketing experiment. It cost me $10 for a t-shirt, $12 for the coins, and $33 for the Uber ride. That's $413 in profit, without having an online presence! Marketing is wild.
