Officials say the island is apocalyptic: The wildfires raging out of control in Maui are so catastrophic, some residents are jumping into the ocean to escape the flames. The Coast Guard is rescuing those in the water. Emergency crews are having difficulty helping in the infernos – fueled in part by Hurricane Dora churning some 800 miles away. 911 & cell service is down, power outrages, people trapped & burn patients have overwhelmed hospitals. Did Russian construction workers really just find an amazing sculpture or as some say, a petrified Fallen Angel? The statue is on its knees but is taller than the men & is beautifully detailed. I can't find a translation so if anyone here speaks Russian, please have a listen. 👼
