The reported destruction of the campaign vehicle of His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, by an angry mob is a deeply troubling and unfortunate development. It is a frightening reflection of the anger, frustration and despair that many Nigerians feel after years of hardship, rising costs and worsening living conditions. When people become this enraged, it should serve as a serious warning that public patience is being stretched to its limits. A government cannot continue to ignore the pain of its people and expect frustration to disappear. Nigerians are hurting, and their cries for relief, accountability and meaningful change must not be dismissed. Violence and destruction are never the solution, but neither should the legitimate grievances of Nigerians be ignored. This is a very unfortunate situation—and a powerful reminder that leadership comes with responsibility. -Hon. Nwafor Richard Nwali.
