Big news. South Korean government has unveiled the 'Laser based Anti-Aircraft Weapon Block-I' for the first time, and it's awesome footage. it's about to deploy it to the Army very soon. It's a 20kW class fiber laser system with a proper size and cost that can be placed easily. Korea's high-ranking research centers are now developing ultra high-power femto laser plasma technology for laser weapons systems. Block-III is also being developed, which is also applicable to military ships as naval versions and plans to have anti-ballistic missile capabilities. This will ensure Korea's low altitude defense along with the '40mm Automated Air Defense System', LAMD-I, LAMD-II, and CIWS-II.

Sophisticated big-ass missile fire is a pleasure to see, but good old-fashioned rocket barrage is good either. This roaring rocket sound will satisfy you. If you look closely, the K239 MRLS can perform sustained massive rocket barrage thanks to the stabilizers. The K239 long-range rocket artillery is a highly versatile, modern missile artillery system, and It is the second most produced rocket artillery system after American systems.

Taipers missile-mounted Tigon IFV. Powerful systems added to Hanwha Aerospace’s portfolio. It is well known that Korea is conducting some next-generation digital AESA radar tests, missile firing, and ballistic missile interception tests in the Middle East. Tigon APC&IFV was also a solution aimed at the Middle East market, has achieved some major victories in the Middle East, and is currently being promoted worldwide. In this case, Latin America, Chile. Recently, Tigon won in the massive bidding of Saudi Arabia. The competitors were Germany and Chinese proposals. I'm not sure, but the details are unknown. BTW, Taipers means = Tank + Sniper

🇳🇴🇰🇷 Breaking news. The Norwegian government and a majority of parliament decided that they would purchase South Korea's K239 long-range missile system and 500km range ballistic missiles instead of the European and Israeli PULS and MARS-3. A Norwegian Conservative politician says this is one of the most powerful weapons in Norwegian history and a crucial investment in modern defense. According to the recommendations of the Norwegian Ministry of Defence, the approval of the Norwegian Cabinet, and my sources at a Norwegian defense consulting firm, the contract is worth $1.88 billion and will involve the purchase of 15 to 23 launchers. A contract is expected to be signed soon. This would make Estonia the first official buyer of the CTM-MR medium-range tactical missile, and Norway is the first official buyer of the CTM-X ballistic missile. Norway, Poland, and Estonia also operate Hanwha Aerospace's K9 self-propelled howitzer, and South Korea has been discussing this with Norway for several years. So, it was expected. ●The existence of the US HIMARS option is currently unconfirmed. ●The Norwegian K9 is named VIDAR, the son of Odin. What will the K239 be named? ●Two major defense investment projects have been confirmed for Norway. One involves purchasing two additional submarines from the previously approved submarine program, bringing the total to six, with the budget reportedly increasing from NOK 52 billion to NOK 98 billion. The other is the LLPI program, a long-range precision-guided munitions program for the army (NOK 19 billion). ●South Korea, Poland, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Estonia have purchased the K239, and it is being offered to Norway, Egypt, Latvia, and Lithuania. ●The K239 MRLS can operate a wide variety of general purposes, special purposes, medium range, and long-range missiles. K239 version 3.0 is now underway.

Hyundai Rotem has released cool footage of the Polish K2PL. It looks like Leopard 2A8. It will also become the standard model for export to Romania, Saudi, the UAE, Egypt, Iraq, and Peru. K2PL boasts four key features. First, Hyundai Rotem's new APS is impressive. While similar to the Israeli "Trophy," it uses "Trophy" interceptor. (Think about the iPhone, which uses components from Korea and Japan.) The main computer, high-resolution AESA radar, optical sensor, launcher, loading device, and integration are all from Hyundai Rotem and unknown Korean sensor company. Second, it features upgraded special armor. It appears the existing state-of-the-art internal armor will be replaced with the latest technology from Samyang, minimizing volume and weight to improve overall performance. The third and fourth features are the anti-drone jammer and RCWS, which have been covered numerous times, so I'll skip them. Note that this footage is based on the 2024 KADEX, and the final design is likely to differ slightly. There's another AESA radar for the APS described previously, supposed to be located on top of the turret. It's unclear whether the K2PL will be applied to later batches. ●The name of the Hyundai APS has not been decided. ●Hyundai Rotem and Hanwha Group's APS are successors to the APS-11K, developed 17 years ago. Hanwha Group's APS looks similar to the APS-11K. ●The Hanwha Group's new APS is unlikely to be applied to the K2. ●The K2, an MBT released after the 2000s, is fundamentally highly digitalized and uses new materials to reduce weight. This reiterates the point, which has been circulating on social media, that more weight doesn't necessarily mean more survivability. ●As weight increases, overall performance deteriorates, and maintenance costs skyrocket. There's a reason why the global MBT development trend is toward lightweighting. ●Protecting vital areas is crucial. ●Of course, you can use cages and thicken the armor if you wish. ●The K2's unique active tank suspension contributes to the platform's expandability and contributes to its top-notch driving performance and combat capabilities. Self-hull-down technology improves detectability and protection in desert, flat, and mountainous terrain. In any case, performance isn't a crucial factor in combat platform transactions, as it's negotiable for large companies with robust solutions. In weapon acquisition, packaged price is the most important factor, followed by localization, time, offsets, and so on. This trend is particularly evident in naval combat platforms. While platforms can be expanded at any time, combat systems(most important), ammunition, and missiles, which account for at least 20-50% of the cost, are non-negotiable. I hope that the true meaning of the next-generation K3 tank will also do well in exports.

Breaking news. Norway has selected Hanwha's K239 system and 500km range ballistic missiles over SAAB/Boeing, KNDS, and Rheinmetall proposals as part of the acquisition of the long-range weapon system. Hanwha is the only company that met all requirements, including performance, delivery, and cost, according to the official announcement. The contract is worth roughly $2 billion and includes three kinds of missiles, 16 launchers, and comprehensive logistics and training. ●SAAB/Boeing did not submit their bids by the March 2025 deadline, while Norway also considered HIMARS through Lockheed Martin and FMS. ●KNDS was reportedly eliminated from the competition in June 2025. ●Hanwha plans to deliver launchers by 2029 and missiles by 2031. ●Hanwha recently signed a contract with Estonia and is offering the K239 to countries in the Middle East, Northern Europe, the Baltics, Eastern Europe, and Asian countries that don't have K239. (Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Sweden, Egypt, the Philippines, Malaysia, etc.) ●Estonia and Norway are expected to engage in training exchanges with Poland on system operation. A rocket factory for Hanwha-WB Advanced Systems is scheduled to be built in Poland, and the ammunition produced there will be sold to various K239 family users. ●Currently, the K239 is in mass operation in South Korea, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Poland, and, along with HIMARS, is the world's most widely produced modern rocket artillery system. ●Hanwha Group has total solutions for tactical, operational, and strategic missile sectors, and they're actively promoting its high-altitude interception solutions. (L-SAM, L-SAM-II) ●The K239 MRLS can operate a wide variety of general purposes, special purposes, medium range, and long-range missiles.

Hyundai Rotem has released a video introducing the LRAAM missile. It is currently being jointly developed with LIG Nex1. The integrated ducted ramjet propulsion is shown briefly. ●The difference from the initially revealed LRAAM is the addition of strakes. ●Since South Korea's numerous air-launched strike missile programs are considered first and the existence of the MBDA Meteor, the development period is generous and is scheduled to end in 2032. ●The consortium is competing with Hanwha Aerospace. ●The SRAAM short-range air-to-air missile is being developed by LIG Nex1. ●The solid fuel gas generator generates fuel-rich gas through primary combustion. Air entering through the air intake is mixed with the fuel-rich gas and then combusted a second time in the combustor to generate thrust. ●Ducted ramjet or ducted rocket propulsion systems simplify the fuel supply system and are lighter than liquid-fuel ramjet propulsion systems. Liquid-fueled ramjets offer better fuel efficiency and fuel supply control. However, they require additional fuel handling and are more expensive and heavier. ●As part of the recent success of its ground-launched hypersonic cruise vehicle, Hyundai Rotem also released CG of an air-launched hypersonic anti-ship cruise missile. The disclosed information mentions the use of hypersonic cruise missiles on land, sea, and air, and Hyundai Rotem is considered to be leading the way in cutting-edge engine and materials technology. ADD and Hanwha Aerospace are also participating in this sensitive program.
