Tim Walz makes a new ridiculous headline every week. Keith Ellison jars us with his soft-on-crime and soft-on-fraud attitude. Amy Klobuchar is more of the same. But for Minnesota to return to sanity, you’re going to have to reject someone else whose name may not be on your ballot: Zack Stephenson. Not content with wrecking the trust of his community and engendering a lawsuit from his own county, he now sets his sites on anyone who doesn’t fall in line with what he wants. Including you.

WHAT IS UP WITH MY PROPERTY TAXES?! According to a recent story by Realtor dot com, Minnesota will be facing $1 Billion in property tax increases – accounting for a 6.9% increase in 2026… with much higher increases happening in rural counties. This is a big barrier to entry for home ownership and can also prevent people from staying in their homes. Why is this happening? What are we missing? Look at state government first.

The rich irony of Democrats bringing up a "gotcha" bill to deny unborn children's inherent right to life... while authoring and supporting a bill to affirm the inherent "right to life" of wild rice. When I tell you this place can be the twilight zone, that doesn't even capture it.

In Minnesota, we have a priorities problem. We voted on a comprehensive safety package for all students, all schools - no matter zip code or type of school. It included school safety upgrades, mental health support, and edits to our school discipline policies. All that needed to happen was for us to shutdown a failed train project. The vote failed, but I hope you’ll take the time to listen to my plea for why this legislation mattered… especially given the fact that the governor wants to fully eliminate any and all non-public support. Annunciation, and schools like it, are non-public schools. Those kids deserve safety as much as any other kid.

Hang with me: the federal government created a tax-credit scholarship program that states can choose to participate in. If a state opts in, taxpayers can donate money to approved scholarship-granting organizations, receive a dollar-for-dollar federal tax credit ($1700), and then that money goes to STUDENTS - in private and public schools. If Minnesota doesn't, that support is going to Colorado or Virginia. It's the easiest vote in the world, and Democrats (Walz included) said no. Uniformly. And I don't even think they know why.

The DFL has said all year we have a “revenue” problem… we need to TAX MORE to fix their trifecta’s mistakes. But last night, with deadlines looming - we magically found money from a ridiculous train project to temporarily fund their unemployment insurance before it’s fully repealed. Who knew?! Democrats don't take state failure seriously. They don’t deserve governing power again.
