๐บ๐ธ Metropolitan Police just dragged a man off Westminster Bridge in handcuffs for holding a sign that said โHamas are terrorists.โ His name is Mark Birbeck. Union Jack beanie. White tape over his mouth. Signs reading โSave our kidsโ and โHamas are terrorists.โ Officers cuffed him and walked him away while people in the crowd kept asking the same question: โWhatโs he done wrong?โ Nothing. Thatโs the point. Hamas is a proscribed terrorist organisation under the Terrorism Act 2000. Saying so is a statement of British law, not a crime. Birbeck and others have been doing this for months , standing near the weekly pro-Palestine marches with a simple factual banner. The response from the Met has been consistent: detain the person stating the law, not the people marching in sympathy with the group the law bans. This isnโt the first time. Birbeck has been arrested before for the same sign. He was given bail conditions that banned him from Westminster on protest days, so he stood on the Lambeth side of the bridge to stay legal. They still came for him. He was later accused of assaulting officers during an arrest , charges the CPS quietly dropped after video showed otherwise. Watch the pattern. Large, disruptive marches that treat Hamas as โresistanceโ get police escorts and kid-glove treatment. A lone man with a Union Jack and a legally accurate placard gets the cuffs. Stewards from the other side complain, officers move in, and the person telling the truth is removed โto prevent a breach of the peace.โ This is what two-tier policing looks like in practice. One set of rules for those who align with a banned terrorist group. Another set for those who refuse to pretend otherwise. Britain still has a law that names Hamas as terrorists. The police just appear more comfortable enforcing everything except that one.

๐ฎ๐น This is getting seriously worrying. Just yesterday in Italy, an armed gang went to extreme lengths to rob an armoured cash truck on the motorway. They disguised themselves as police, complete with fake emergency lights and vehicles, and even had explosives and assault rifles ready to go. The fact that criminals are now this organised and confident enough to impersonate law enforcement in broad daylight says a lot about how bad things have got. This wasnโt some desperate opportunist crime , this was a planned, coordinated attack that could have gone very wrong if it had succeeded. It raises serious questions. How are gangs getting hold of this level of fake police equipment? How are they able to plan operations like this without being picked up earlier? And what does it say about the current state of policing and border security across Europe? We keep being told that crime is under control and that things are improving, yet incidents like this keep happening. When criminals feel bold enough to impersonate police and use explosives on public roads, something has clearly gone very wrong with deterrence and enforcement. Europe needs to get a grip on this before it gets even worse.
