This truck driver accepted a job at a ‘Russian trucking company.’ Instead of a 70 hour work week [legal] they can give him 140 [illegal af]. The caption of his video: “I’m on Duolingo right now learning Russian.” What. The. Hell. Are. We. Doing.

Houston, TX — Last night, shortly after 11 PM, a semi-truck pulling an Amazon trailer ran a red light, hit a sedan & killed one person. Passenger of the sedan was ejected & died at the scene. Truck driver swears the light was yellow, but the dash cam said otherwise. Certainly red.

Someone cut his mic. “This is a job that not of a lot of Americans actually want to do. Driving these trucks across the country … Most of these people are using GPS machines in their CARS so they really don’t need to read a ton of signs in English.”

This is an incredibly unfortunate way to understand what's happening in American trucking, but it is real. Go to GoFundMe or give send go and search 'truck driver family + country name.' You will see families that are now without their primary source of income because the driver was brought to America, given minimal, if any, driver training, then had a tragic accident.

I’d love to tell you this is a needle in the haystack. But it isn’t. This company, and thousands just like it, are driving down the same highways in America as you and your family. > Insurance is cancelling soon. > Driver out of service rate is absurd. > THREE HUNDRED AND TWO motor carriers with the same phone number.

According to Mr. Hank Johnson Jr., the requirement that truck drivers speak/read English "has nothing to do with safety and everything to do with shutting out qualified drivers." He refers to Delilah's Law as an "Anti-worker bill." I am anti-push American truck drivers and companies out of the industry, while bending over backwards to make sure the industry is flooded with foreign companies and unqualified slave labor!!!!
