The Chinese government has announced that it is certifying mass production of AG600 large amphibious aircraft. The AG600 is produced by China’s state-owned AVIC (Aviation Industry Corporation of China) and is capable of landing and taking off at sea. In addition to search and rescue and emergency response functions the aircraft have utility patrolling and deploying troops in disputed maritime regions.
