The key targets of the terrorist state were residential buildings, energy facilities, transport infrastructure, and other civilian and critical objects. At least 9 people were killed in Ternopil. People may still be trapped under the rubble. Dozens of people in the city and other regions were injured, including children. All of this shows that Russia feels unpunished for its war crimes, and therefore continues to escalate its terror. Ukraine urgently needs stronger air defense – first and foremost, missiles, additional systems, expanded capabilities for our combat aviation, and increased drone production to protect lives.

A shell hit one of the wards, damaging the building where patients and staff were inside. Three medical workers, aged 52, 49, and 21, were injured. They sustained concussions and blast injuries and are now receiving medical care. Hospitals are not military targets. Yet, Russia keeps attacking places meant to save lives. Russia must face consequences every time it chooses violence over diplomacy. Strong decisions and increased pressure must be applied to the aggressor immediately.

Mariana Betsa stressed that more than 20,000 cases of the illegal deportation and forced transfer of Ukrainian children have been documented, while only 2,525 children have been returned. She condemned Russia’s policy of using education and indoctrination to erase their Ukrainian identity, language and history. He shared the story of losing his mother in the attack. The boy survived severe burns through 36 surgeries and long rehabilitation. What Ukrainians are enduring as a result of Russia’s attacks on our energy infrastructure is horrific. No child, no elderly person, no one anywhere in the world should have to go through this and spend winter days without heat, water, or electricity. Russia is deliberately waging energy terror against the civilian population. Twice within hours, Russia struck civilian buses in Zaporizhzhia. Three people were killed, while over 10 passengers, including children, were injured.
