Russia continues to attack the civilian infrastructure and places that make everyday life possible across Ukraine. This morning, a Russian drone struck the Pivnichnyi Bridge in Kyiv. In Sumy, Russian drones attacked a pharmaceutical warehouse, killing one person. In Dnipro, a communications facility was struck. Six people were injured as a result of today's attacks. Overnight alone, Russia launched 135 attack drones against Ukraine, more than 50 of them jet-powered. Kyiv and the Dnipro, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia regions were attacked. Residential buildings and critical infrastructure were among the targets, and power outages were reported in some communities. And this terror has continued across Ukraine throughout the week. Russia has used more than 1,900 attack drones, 1,700 aerial bombs, and 25 missiles against Ukraine. More than 800 of those drones were jet-powered. Russia is escalating its attacks and must be held accountable for it.

A shell hit one of the wards, damaging the building where patients and staff were inside. Three medical workers, aged 52, 49, and 21, were injured. They sustained concussions and blast injuries and are now receiving medical care. Hospitals are not military targets. Yet, Russia keeps attacking places meant to save lives. The attacks hit Kyiv and 12 regions, killing at least 19 people and injuring dozens. Leontovych was a teacher, composer, and choir conductor who dedicated his life to recording and revitalising Ukrainian folk songs. Leontovych was tragically killed in 1921 by Soviet secret police for defending Ukrainian culture. But his legacy lives on, and "Shchedryk" continues to unite people around the world.
