I mean he really is naive, but that’s part of what makes Kingston special. He has no ego, Chris has no ego, none of our kids have egos. I knocked the ego out of them early, not literally (laughter), but the strength of our program is we play for each other & our program is more important than any individual & that includes me”

They’re playing for a program that has won more games than anyone in America the last 8 yrs, & all of a sudden they’ve been put to start…high character kids handle adversity well cause they’ve been brought up the right way & I give credit to their parents.”

He talked to me about how much he loves watching us play & following us. All his friends call & talk to him about Cougar basketball” “We have great fans in this city, they’re passionate about their teams & all the teams do a good job of supporting each other”

We haven’t had someone we can throw the ball inside & attract double teams & be consistent w/scoring so what we’ve been all year is a jump shot shooting team & that’s ok, you can win a lot of games doing that but at some point you gotta get transition pts & the last two games that has been the biggest bugaboo. We’re having to play way too much in the half court. We’re not scoring off our defense as much.”
