An example of parallax. The yellow sphere is not moving, it's just hovering about 5,000 feet up. The camera filming it is moving in a straight line. So it looks like the sphere is moving in a straight line.

There are rumors of a high-resolution video of a giant, fast-moving craft larger than an oil platform. Here's one possible explanation: parallax. The moon is very far away. The camera aircraft is orbiting the oil platform from a distance. The platform looks like it's not moving, then a giant dark disk seems to fly (underwater) beneath it. This was created in Sitrec. The aircraft is going 234 knots. The oil platform is about 300 feet. The moon is reflecting off the surface of the ocean - sometimes informally referred to as the "shadow" of the moon. We haven't seen the video, but I wouldn't be surprised if this is what it was.

What if this is an actual white egg, duct-taped to some fishing line, and used as a challenge by a helicopter pilot to show off their skill in lowering stuff? Unrelated to aliens. It's just a hypothesis. Can it be disproved?

The "hovering plane" illusion is one of the most fun examples of parallax. Someone in a car at 60 mph films a landing plane moving in the opposite direction at 3x that speed. It's also 4x as far as they think it is. Result = (apparently) hovering plane.

The contents of Jesse's video don't match the cover. Rebelo claims no special knowledge; basically, he believes the witnesses and what he read in the paper, and when asked if he looked into UFOs at all as SecDef, he just laughed and said, "No, we had other concerns."

Trump says this guy is lucky to be alive and is "now recovering in the hospital". He seems entirely uninjured. He shot her from the side in a pointless act that did not increase anyone's safety. He should be charged with manslaughter. Always be filming.

This video shows two distant parachute flares being used as targets. An A-10 flies in and releases countermeasure flares near them. It looks like it hits them, but it does not. You can see the flares being released just before it "hits" the second target. The video was on YouTube in 2017. Location is probably near FOB Shank.

Adding keyframes to the 3D feature tracking shows that the object in the Pentagon's PR043 UFO video is consistent with a ~13 cm diameter object moving in level flight at 20 knots. Or any number of faster, larger objects. So maybe a bird, or a balloon.

Stitching a UFO video into a panorama makes it easier to see the overall apparent motion of the object (a black dot, starting in the lower right). But it also magnifies the parallax illusion, as the static background makes the camera motion less apparent.

This looks like a cool UFO on a phone screen, but if you magnify it and brighten it, you can see it looks like a seagull.

The Empire State Engagement in 3D. The helicopter is half a mile from the happy couple, but it's really zoomed in, about 100x. So while it looks like it's circling (as the background moves fast), it does not really change angle very much.

The K A C E Y UFO sighting video has been identified by 𝔽𝕝𝕒𝕣𝕜𝕖𝕪 as being 100% consistent with Starlink horizon flares. Her plane was in the flare zone for the entire flight, and the flares appeared in the right position, moving and fading at the same speed as seen on the video. If she could share the exact time the video was recorded, then we could identify the exact satellites.

Preliminary analysis of the crash of flight 5342 today suggests a possible factor might have been the helicopter pilot accidentally looking at AAL3130, a larger plane landing behind 5342, on a different approach but visually close and possibly brighter than the closer, smaller 5342.

74 years ago, there was a UFO case. Many analysts thought it was seagulls. Some were convinced it was not. Today, for some reason, the US Government released a new digitization of the film from that event. It looks exactly like the seagulls that sometimes fly above my house.

Finally, an official voice of reason. No drone reports have been corroborated as drones. Many drone reports have been identified as normal aircraft. There's no evidence of any threat. However, drones are still an important security concern. Like I said.

The "new" UAP videos released today are ALL from one guy who regularly sees "orbs" over his house. He was considered "credible" by the FBI. His videos were released last year. One showed Chinese lanterns, and one showed the ISS. He's not credible, and the FBI did a poor job.

My take on the drone situation. Drones are real. Drones are a genuine security issue. But what we are seeing with the New Jersey scare is not drones. All cases with sufficient information turned out not to be large drones.
