This is exactly what bothers me about Mick’s approach. Testing camera motion, stabilization or parallax is absolutely fair and should be done. But the video is released and, almost immediately, we already get “these birds.” Based on what, exactly? Where is the work showing they are birds rather than simply assuming a conventional explanation from the start? That’s the dogma I keep seeing: whatever it is, it has to end up being parallax, birds, balloons, glare, something familiar. And when you begin with the answer already decided, there really isn’t much method left — just guesses fitted to the conclusion. Sometimes the most scientific answer is simply, “we don’t know yet.”

A military platform doesn't know birds? Do they keep recording birds everywhere? Thousands of vidros of birds then, where are they? Are military platforms wildlife film creators?

The funny thing is, before stabilization the camera movement made them look like flapping birds. Now that it’s steady, the movement isn't bird-like at all—it looks straight up like a UAP

And that's the trouble, they are so easy to debunk. The files that are released are useless, no date either. I'm still waiting for something unexplainable, I doubt it's going to come though.

The altitude of the drone, the altitude of the objects, and the drone's speed seem to be unknown here. It may be possible to extrapolate a speed based on how fast the ocean is passing by below, but how would you do that without knowing your altitude and the camera settings?

So what you dont get is that the actual sensor operator understands that and follow thousands of object both on the ground and in the air. They know the difference between birds for instance and something anomalous. The masked sensor data also give them a good picture of movement

How about backing up ‘it’s birds’ with a possible taxonomy of species from the region this was captured in and observed flight behavior associated with those species. Just to be thorough.

agree, mostly, however the hundreds if not thousands of eye witnesses during these events, including the recent "drone" flap have to be added to the data set. both my grand parents, aunts/uncles and father (whom was 5 at the time) remember this in Maine and living on the coast. cant exclude birds, and ultimately we may never know.
