Darawsheh replies, “I work for Al Araby TV in London.” However, it is widely known that Al Araby TV relocated from London to Lusail in Doha, Qatar. It has become clear that Ahmed Darawsheh, a journalist who previously worked for the Arab48 website—funded for years by Dr. Azmi Bishara before joining Al Araby TV—is aware that Qatar’s name has become controversial in media discourse. This is why he referred to the channel’s former location rather than its current one. Indeed, Qatar’s name now evokes suspicion in some contexts.
