The man who spare headed the first coup happened to be my friend and my Roommate (Chukwuma Nzeogwu) He told me they were doing exercise, he never told me the exercise they were doing was for a coup. I woke up and I didn’t see anybody so I went to the mess where we eat. I got there and I saw the stewards all in fatigue dress, I asked what happened and they told me Premier & brigade commander are both dead. I went to the brigade headquarters to inquire more about their death. they told me my friend is in the brigade commander office, I went there and saw him wounded.
