A traffic accident was reported this afternoon in Kumba, directly opposite the Banga School Complex along Buea Road, involving a military truck and a motorcycle carrying a female passenger. According to eyewitness accounts, the motorcycle rider had slowed down to allow cows to cross the road when the speeding military vehicle struck the bike from behind. The rider sustained only minor bruises. However, a video seen by MMI News shows the woman with a visibly fractured leg, crying out in severe pain as she bleeds on the roadside. Bystanders can be seen gathering around her, but appear uncertain about how to help. The incident highlights ongoing concerns over the absence of emergency ambulance services in Cameroon.
