Honestly, as a South African citizen, I am legally obligated to carry my ID everywhere I go. Why should it be any different for foreigners? If you enter another country, carrying your passport, valid visa, and legal permits shouldn't be optional it should be a bare minimum requirement. Law enforcement is just doing it's job!
