Rep. Alex Falconer (DFL, HD 49A - Eden Prairie) says there’s “no purpose” for a semi-auto rifle in deer hunting because it would “blow the deer apart.” That’s not just wrong, it’s embarrassingly wrong. An AR-15 typically fires a small .223/5.56 round — far less powerful than many traditional hunting rifles. So now we’re writing gun bans based on made-up ballistics? 🤔 The Second Amendment doesn’t hinge on his hunting preferences anyway. It protects arms “in common use” for lawful purposes — including self-defense. This isn’t about hunting. It’s about banning what they don’t understand. And they’re rushing it under “urgency” because they couldn't get it out of committee. ⚡ TAKE ACTION: 📝 SIGN A PETITION: ✊ JOIN THE FIGHT: 🛡️ BECOME A 2A DEFENDER: 💥 DONATE: #mnleg #mn2a #2A

👉🏼 WE WON. The binary trigger case is over, and binary triggers are legal again in Minnesota. In the final 20 minutes of the 2024 session, the DFL trifecta buried a binary trigger ban inside a 1,600-page omnibus bill. We sued Governor Walz and Attorney General Ellison, arguing the ban and the way the bill was passed violated the single-subject clause of the Minnesota Constitution. We won in Ramsey County District Court last year. The state appealed. The Court of Appeals agreed with us again. And now the state has declined to take it to the Minnesota Supreme Court. Final judgment is in. Binary triggers are legal to purchase, possess, transfer, and sell in Minnesota with no restrictions. Manufacturers are already shipping to the state. This is what our legal program does: we challenge Second Amendment violations across Minnesota, and we win. More is coming. Thanks to our friends at the Upper Midwest Law Center for taking on this fight with us! Your support made this case possible. Help us fund the next fight → #MNGunOwnersCaucus #Minnesota2A

The largest & most effective gun rights group in Minnesota was just told we can’t testify against most of the gun control bills tomorrow. Why? Because the schedule is “full.” Apparently, there’s plenty of room for gun control activists and other testifiers, but not the people representing thousands of Minnesota gun owners. What are they hearing? ❌ Semi-auto ban ❌ Magazine ban ❌ Carry bans ❌ Preemption repeal And the organization representing tens of thousands of Minnesota Gun Owners? We don't get to speak on those bills. Other bills - yes. The core gun control bills? Nope. That’s not democracy. That’s rigging the hearing. ⚡ TAKE ACTION: 📝 SIGN A PETITION: ✊ JOIN THE FIGHT: 🛡️ BECOME A 2A DEFENDER: 💥 DONATE: #mnleg #mn2a #2A

Sen. Mohamed presents the first proposal of the day - An outright ban on commonly-owned firearms. Her bill would ban the possession, manufacture, and sale of "assault weapons" and standard capacity magazines, punishable by up to 5 years in prison and a $25,000 fine.

🚨 BREAKING from the MN Court of Appeals 🚨 Today was the State’s appeal in Caucus v. Walz—our case challenging the binary trigger ban under the single-subject clause. We also cross-appealed to strike down the whole bill. And in oral arguments… the State just folded. 👉 They conceded the binary trigger ban was NOT germane to the omnibus bill. That’s game over on that issue. The ban is dead. But the bigger fight continues 👇 We’re pushing to strike down the entire 1,400+ page omnibus bill that was jammed through in the final minutes of the 2024 legislative session. Because if courts allow this, lawmakers will keep stuffing unconstitutional policies into massive “must-pass” bills. ⚖️ This case could shut that down for good. We'll have a decision within 60 days. Rep. Pam Altendorf (R-Red Wing) takes the House floor on May 14th, 2026 with one of the most pointed and emotionally clear-eyed moments of the entire HF 5140 debate. Rep. Altendorf opens with something rare in this debate: real, direct compassion for the families who have endured unimaginable tragedy — the families of the Annunciation Catholic Church and School shooting, and every other family in Minnesota whose loved ones have been touched by gun violence. But she does not stop there. Because the families deserve better than what the DFL is doing in their name. "The veil has been lifted on this gun bill." In a few short, devastating lines, Rep. Altendorf names exactly what HF 5140 actually is — and what it is not: It is not a serious bipartisan effort to address public safety. It is not a careful piece of policy crafted with the affected communities. It is opportunist political theater. It is about the 2026 election. It is about a single floor vote that can be turned into campaign mailers, social media clips, and fundraising appeals. "This is about a vote. This is about campaign literature." The families of Annunciation deserve respect. They deserve serious policy. They deserve representatives who care about the cause more than the campaign. And on May 14th, 2026, they did not get that from the DFL — they got political theater dressed up in their loved ones' memories. HF 5140 is the House clone of SF 4067 — the DFL's omnibus gun ban package that would criminalize commonly-owned semi-automatic rifles, certain shotguns and pistols, home-built firearms, and turn hundreds of thousands of law-abiding Minnesotans into felons overnight. The Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus is leading the fight against this bill. The 2026 session is in its final hours. 📞 Contact your legislator NOW: 💪 Become a 2A Defender: 🎯 Join MNGOC: #mnleg #2A #HF5140 #SecondAmendment #Minnesota

Gov. Walz Can’t Define “Assault Weapons” — But Wants to Ban Them Anyway Gov. Walz says he “supports legal gun ownership” — right before pushing an “assault weapons” ban he can’t even define. 🤡 “Not made for war”? Every common firearm traces its lineage to military tech. That’s not an argument — it’s a talking point. He admits “the devil’s in the details” — and he’s right. Because the details are where constitutional rights go to die. He also says he trusts trained, licensed permit holders. So why is the DFL trying to ban lawful carry at the Capitol? If permit holders are vetted and responsible — his words — why do their rights disappear near politicians? The government doesn’t get to ban commonly owned firearms because Gov. Walz thinks they look scary to him. You don’t “support legal gun ownership” while trying to outlaw the most popular rifles in America. Minnesotans see the contradiction. And we’re not buying it. 💥 ⚡ TAKE ACTION: 📝 SIGN A PETITION: ✊ JOIN THE FIGHT: 🛡️ BECOME A 2A DEFENDER: 💥 DONATE: #mnleg #mn2a #2A

There’s a bizarre rumor floating around gun social media that the Supreme Court just handed down some magical “9-0 decision” striking down all gun control laws. Nope. That did not happen. Not even close. As MNGOC Chair Bryan Strawser explains in this video: ✅ No SCOTUS case has struck down all gun laws ✅ No 9-0 ruling nuked “assault weapon” bans ✅ No magazine ban case has been decided by the Court ✅ The Supreme Court hasn’t even taken one of those cases yet as of May 6, 2026 What has happened? • New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen changed the legal test for gun laws • Worth v. Jacobson struck down Minnesota’s 18-20 carry ban • Courts are still actively fighting through these issues nationwide Please stop getting constitutional law updates from clickbait “Guntuber BREAKING NEWS!!!” thumbnails with red circles and fire emojis. 🙄 Read actual opinions. Follow actual litigation. Listen to organizations doing the work. We’d love a 9-0 “all gun laws are unconstitutional” ruling too. Reality matters, though.

MNGOC Member Sarah Hauptman Delivers Powerful Rebuke of Proposed Rifle & Magazine Ban In this video, Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus member Sarah Hauptman delivers a powerful and unapologetic rebuke of the proposed semi-automatic rifle and magazine bans before lawmakers at the Capitol. In her video, Sarah dismantles the core arguments behind the legislation, exposing how these sweeping bans would criminalize peaceable Minnesotans while doing nothing to stop violent criminals. She reminds legislators that commonly owned semi-automatic firearms are protected arms under the Second Amendment — and that fundamental rights don’t disappear because they are politically inconvenient. The proposed ban targets firearms owned by hundreds of thousands of responsible, peaceable citizens across Minnesota. As Sarah makes clear, punishing peaceable gun owners is not public safety — it’s government overreach. The Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus will continue to stand firmly against unconstitutional restrictions and defend the rights of peaceable citizens across our state. ⚡ TAKE ACTION: 📝 SIGN A PETITION: ✊ JOIN THE FIGHT: 🛡️ BECOME A 2A DEFENDER: 💥 DONATE:

🚨 Sneaky Move in Committee Today: Democrats Tried to Swap Crime Bill for Gun Ban 🚨 Rob Doar was at the Capitol today with Anna Leamy from the Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus. What happened in the Public Safety Committee should have every gun owner paying attention. Rep. Hudson brought a bill to increase penalties for repeat violent offenders using firearms — a real “three strikes” approach focused on criminals. Instead? Democrats attempted a delete-all amendment to wipe out the entire bill and replace it with an assault weapons ban. Not debate it honestly. Not introduce it cleanly. Just hijack a crime bill and swap it out. Thankfully, Chair Rep. Paul Novotny shut that maneuver down today. But here’s the warning ⬇️ The Minnesota House is split 50/50. Committee chairs rotate by day. Today was a Republican chair. Next Tuesday? It’s the Democrats’ turn under Rep. Kelly Moller. Based on today’s attempted sneak attack, expect: ❌ Assault Weapons Ban ❌ Magazine Capacity Limits ❌ Ban on 3D-printed firearms ❌ Criminalizing gun code ❌ Mandatory storage mandates They tested the waters today. Next week, they may bring the full package. 🎥 Watch Rob Doar break it down — with Anna on the ground working the Capitol for you. 📅 Get your Tuesday schedule ready. We’ll confirm details — but be prepared to show up. Stay alert. 🚨 What if the Alex Pretti shooting had happened under a Democratic regime that was confiscating guns? That’s the premise of our new video: “The Death of Sven Doe.” We flipped the script — same facts, same tragedy — but now the victim isn’t a progressive protester. He’s a lawful gun owner protesting a total ban on semi‑automatic rifles. Disarmed. Then shot. And the government called him a terrorist before the facts came out. This isn’t about left or right. It’s about whether you judge by evidence — or by politics. ⚖️ Think for yourself.

Build it legally? Own it lawfully? Doesn’t matter under HF 3407 - the ban on so-called "Ghost Guns". Yesterday, Anna testified against turning ordinary gun owners into felons overnight in House Public Safety. This bill would: ➡️ Make it a felony to possess a lawfully made firearm without a serial number ➡️ Force owners to serialize, surrender, or destroy their property ➡️ Criminalize sharing digital design files (yes—speech) ➡️ Target hobbyists and collectors, not criminals This isn’t about misuse. It’s about possession. 📌 10–10 tie. Still alive. ⚡ TAKE ACTION: 📝 SIGN A PETITION: ✊ JOIN THE FIGHT: 🛡️ BECOME A 2A DEFENDER: 💥 DONATE: #mnleg #mn

🎥 Rob Doar asking Keith Ellison about Gun Control at CNN Town Hall - January 28th, 2026 Rob Doar, our General Counsel, asked MN AG Keith Ellison whether the federal actions in Minnesota, which Ellison had described as an "unconstitutional occupation" and "federal invasion," affected his thinking on the Second Amendment. 👉🏼 Ellison responded, essentially: "Nope, I like to hunt and still want ALL THE GUN CONTROL." ⚡ TAKE ACTION: 📝 SIGN A PETITION: ✊ JOIN THE FIGHT: 🛡️ BECOME A 2A DEFENDER: 💥 DONATE: #mnleg #mn2a #2A

Governor Walz says “only the gun industry” is opposing HF3433 & HF3402? That’s bullshit. We had national experts and everyday Minnesotans ready to testify. The committee limited testimony to 8 minutes pro / 8 minutes con on bills that would ban commonly owned rifles and standard magazines. 4 testifiers for the legislation, and 4 testifiers against They controlled the guest list. They’re controlling the clock. And they’ll try to control the narrative. If you’re wondering why you’re only hearing from us—it’s because that’s all they allowed. 🚨 ACTION ALERT: MN DPS has hired an anti-gun extremist as the state’s Red Flag Gun Confiscation Coordinator. 🚨 Rachael Joseph isn’t a neutral public servant — she’s a radical anti-gun activist with a long history of hostility toward law-abiding gun owners and elected officials. She has threatened to protest at the homes and workplaces of gun rights leaders, joined in vulgar attacks on legislators, and was even deemed too extreme for Everytown and Moms Demand Action. Now she’s in charge of enforcing Minnesota’s Red Flag law. This reckless appointment weaponizes state power against peaceable Minnesotans who exercise their constitutional rights.
