Very nice to be back in Boston, my old haunt as a graduate student and, two decades later, a professor on the faculty The Fletcher School Tufts University , to participate as a panelist Harvard Kennedy School Harvard CID ‘s #GEM26 on “Reimagining International Development”. The Charles River is as beautiful and calming as ever. The meeting is a two-day event of heavy hitters in global academia, Nobel Laureates, and senior policymakers. I’ll be breaking some tables on this vexed matter of the “international” development of poor countries in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, and South Asia😀 No one in the rich, developed world owes anyone in under-developed countries “development”. We should fix our problems!
