Unfortunately, we are no longer a safe destination as we once were, and this can be attributed to the negligence of the Tourism Ministry, government, stakeholders, and the fact that client safety has been overlooked. #sharkfeeding It is a fact that little or nothing has been done regarding feeding practices. In the end, people will believe sharks are the problem, unaware that they come seeking an easy meal because feeding has been allowed. What also happens is that Maldives, once a safe destination where shark attacks were unheard of, will eventually be included in the statistics.
