Mr. Sam Shamoun has stated that he is willing to debate me but only on what he calls the “Islamic Dilemma.” I will extend him an even greater opportunity. I am prepared to debate Mr. Shamoun on any argument of his choosing that he believes can invalidate Islam. No restrictions. No limitations. I understand your concern, but I’m not asserting definitively that she was 18 or 19 I’m simply highlighting that this view is historically plausible. Here is a video of Shaykh al-Dadow expressing a similar position. As I mentioned, this is not a matter of ʿaqīdah or fiqh, so it seems like an unusual issue to be overly dogmatic about.
