Visited Islamabad Airport today and met passengers travelling abroad to hear their concerns directly. Ordered a strict crackdown against visa agents exploiting innocent people. Took serious notice of a passenger’s 7 November complaint about low staffing at immigration and directed an immediate inquiry with review of CCTV footage. No passenger with genuine and complete documents should ever be stopped from travelling but those attempting to travel on fake or unverified documents will not be allowed under any circumstances, as such actions damage Pakistan’s reputation. Agent mafias playing with people’s futures for money will face zero tolerance.

Visited the residence of Mufti-e-Azam Pakistan, Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman Sahab in Karachi, held a detailed meeting with prominent Ulema of Ahle-Sunnat under his leadership. Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman Sahab is a highly learned scholar, a voice of wisdom and moderation, and has always played a vital role in promoting unity and harmony among all schools of thought. Listened to the viewpoints of Ulema on recent issues and assured that all legitimate concerns will be addressed on priority. Government has no intention to interfere in the affairs of Madaris and Masajid. A focal person will remain in constant coordination between both sides.

Alhamdulillah, launched passport issuance services at three NADRA Mega Centers: Peco Road, Shimla Pahari, and Sanda Road, Lahore. Inspected the process, met citizens, and directed staff for swift service. These centers will operate in two shifts till 11 PM. However , Shimla Pahari counters will operate 24/7.

Attended the ICC board meeting in Dubai. Insha Allah, the ICC Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan in February 2025. Also had a fruitful sideline discussion with Chairman Mr. Roger Twose from NZ Cricket and Chairman Mr. Lawson Naidoo from SA Cricket. Held meeting to combat SMOG challenge with a comprehensive plan: Short term plan: 1. Restrictions in 6 divisions for immediate impact. ( Lahore, Gujranwala, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Multan) 2. Sunday market closures. 3. Saturday openings post 3pm for markets, restaurants and offices. 4. School closures Fri-Sun for safety. 5. Doubling water sprinkling in smog-affected areas. 6. Sunday on Mall Road Lahore reserved for cyclists. Long term: 1. Subsidies for 10000 students' electric bikes. 2. Govt employees can lease electric bikes, fostering pollution-free transportation. 3. Visited the T-Chowk Flyover, Shaheen Chowk Underpass, and Faizabad Interchange Remodeling Project today to review progress and ongoing construction work. All three projects are progressing at a strong pace. Authorities were directed to further improve traffic flow at Faizabad by expanding Loop-1 and Loop-2 to three lanes, and to enhance the overall aesthetics through landscaping and improved lighting. It was instructed that all available resources be utilized to complete these projects at the earliest. Once completed, they will significantly improve traffic flow, reduce congestion, and provide major relief to citizens. The T-Chowk Flyover will also benefit commuters traveling between the twin cities and those coming from Punjab. Key updates: • T-Chowk Flyover is 80% complete and set to open for traffic in early December. • All pile caps and girders have been cast; 75% of retaining walls are complete. • Shaheen Chowk Underpass: 70 girders launched; the remaining will be finalized soon. Ramp-1 and Ramp-2 are fully completed. • Faizabad Interchange: Pile foundations completed; RCC walls finished; asphalt work is underway. These projects will greatly enhance mobility, ease daily commuting, and benefit thousands of citizens every day.
