KVM support is making a lot of progress. MW3 now fully runs on SteamDeck. Without Wine, without Proton. Only using This completely sandboxes the game and provides full security. Performance still needs a lot of work, but it's a smooth start

Some performance optimizations were done in MW3 now manges to reach 60 FPS or even more, while being fully sandboxed. Still a lot to optimize, but this is a major milestone. The game is playable now 🥳

Sogen is starting to get 3d graphics support. Currently, this uses a software renderer, but next step is GPU paravirtualization. With the Hyper-V backend, performance is incredible. This might become a sandboxing environment, e.g. to safely play old, vulnerable games

MW2 decompilation is nearing its end. With currently 17 agents working in parallel, we're making progress at an incredible pace. The game is fully playable now and almost all visible bugs are gone. Only a few are left. I even managed to get my first nuke ☢️😂

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 running inside Sogen's sandbox with accelerated graphics and near-native performance. No drivers and no VM image, yet full security and control over the game's access to the OS. Still very experimental, but it's making progress 🥳

I've been working on Steam passthrough in Forwarding Steam interaction from the sandbox to the host seems to be working. That means playing actuall MW2 matches in real lobbies is now safely doable in Sogen's sandbox 🥳

We're getting somewhere. cg_fovScale support is nearly finished. One small bug still needs to be fixed in BOIII 😃

I made an IDA Pro plugin that detects hooks while debugging or in process dumps.

My emulator now has a name: Sogen. It now manages to analyze BO6's protection right in your browser :D

I've been working on a Windows emulator for my research. I have now implemented the GDB serial protocol. Being able to debug my own emulator using IDA is just crazy. I love it. 😂
