The government borrowed more than 30billion from the Africa Development Bank and the Africa Growing Together Fund which is more than was needed for both Kenol Sagana Lot 1 and Sagana Marua Lot 2. I was in Siaya Ugenya where i visited the Anyiko-Ujwanga-Kathieno Irrigation Project. COST was 478Million. The contractors contract expired in August. Surprisingly very little has been done. The sedimantation basin and several kilometres of canals have not been built hence the rice farmers of Ugenya are yet to see any light. Ministry of Water and Irrigation. I finished with a cup of tea and nyoyo at the home of my Chief of Security who comes from this Village.
