Recently did some gun "spring cleaning." Sold off 5 guns I didn't like or didn't end up using much. Among these was my Glock 19, which I was never any good with no matter how much I tried. I also didn't like that as a Gen 3 Glock, it was not lefthand friendly. Plus, with the looming sales ban in our dumb state, now was a great time to sell, prices are high. But I still have a bunch of mags and holsters, so I decided to replace it with a Shadow Systems MR920, which at least allows for a lefthand mag release. Today, I zeroed its dot from a rest, then recorded this video. I *instantly* like this gun more than I ever did the G19. While it has a number of improvements (backstraps let me have a more 1911-ish grip angle, gas pedal, etc.), I think the main reason it clicked with me was the trigger. It's just lighter than the G19's was. That gun's "wall" never worked for me, I sucked with it. The MR920, by contrast, feels extremely similar to my P320 triggers, which I love. So, Shadow Systems W. But I'm also hyped for the other gun I'm picking up soon, a Staccato HD P4. Which will be by far my costliest gun 🤣. I didn't think I'd ever drop that kind of cheddar, but it never had occurred to me to pay for it with existing guns that were gathering dust in the safe.

Well, I *was* having fun with my first 2011 🤣 Tonight after a couple mags it failed to go fully into battery, so I pushed it forward and fired the chambered round (perhaps that was an error, though it was a pretty gentle push I didn't need to force it or anything). Now it's totally locked up, not sure what to do but maybe one of you knows. It only has about 300 rounds through it, and cleaned and oiled it after the first 100. I know it has a bit of a break-in period, though this was my first issue with it. But it's a pretty big issue! I could try and really force it open but I dont want to break it.

Just after Heller was decided, Kamala Harris gave a presser with Newsom criticizing the decision. Thankfully, Chuck had saved the link to the video in an old memo. The video only had 4,200 views on Youtube, so we assume few have seen it. I downloaded it, incase it vanishes from Youtube ;-)

In this great clip, Rep. Kiley presses Rep. Goldman for evidence that people with CCW permits commit more crime. Rep. Goldman admits he does not and instead refers to vague antigun talking points. Kiley then asks Goldman if he could show Goldman data proving those with CCW permits commit far less crime, would Goldman change his vote? Goldman just answers "no." Antigunners like Goldman don't care about facts. They just want you disarmed.

For whatever reason, I shoot the M18 (my version of it anyway) the best of any of my handguns. I even shoot it better than the X5 Legion 320 (which I tend to pull slightly low-right) The PDP comes closest but I still shoot the M18 better. At this point I think the P320 drama is a conspiracy to keep me away from what is clearly the best handgun ever made. 🤣
