Another 135Km to be added to the nations paved road network! The Kyenjojo (Kihura) – Bwizi – Rwamwanja – Kahunge (68km) and Mpara – Bwizi (37km) roads are set for upgrading to paved (bituminous) standard; The Contract for the construction has been awarded to M/s The Arab Contractors (Osman Ahmed Osman &Co). The Prime Minister NABBANJA ROBINAH Is expected to break ground for the construction of the 105km and 20km town roads. The project roads will be upgraded to Class II Bituminous Standard paved roads, which will include carriageways that are 7.0 meters wide and shoulders that are 1.5 to 2.0 meters wide. Additionally, sections of the roads in three key urban/trading centers will be rebuilt to dual carriageways, complete with parking lanes and walkways.

Implemented by Arab Contractors [Osman Ahmed Osman & Co.] and financed 100% by Government of Uganda , the project provides critical links to the Soroti–Mbale, Pallisa–Kumi, and Pallisa–Kamonkoli national roads. 🤙🏾This milestone is a demonstration of Government of Uganda commitment to improving urban infrastructure and fostering Socio-economic transformation across Uganda.
