The Cockroach Janta Party's lawyer is arguing that the Police should not record protestors in a public place because it allegedly violates their “privacy” and their “fundamental right” to air their grievances without being treated like criminals. Read that again. They're claiming a right to privacy... at a public protest, even as videos from the protest show abuse being hurled and incidents of violence. So now, public protests are meant to be public only for the vile abusive slogans, but not for the accountability. Good going!!🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️

In 1992, the BJP govt in Uttar Pradesh led by Shri Kalyan Singh brought a tough Anti-Copying Act. Cheating in board exams became a serious offence, and pass rates fell to more realistic levels. In 1993, after coming back to power, Mulayam Singh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party govt repealed that law and brought back the self-centre system. Soon after that, pass percentages shot up sharply. Critics say this was not because students suddenly performed better, but because cheating became much easier. The problem did not end there. Over the years, many cases of organized cheating came to light, including incidents involving teachers and even answers being passed through walls during exams. Same politicians that removed a tough anti-cheating law are now presenting themselves as the strongest voice against paper leaks. History must be remembered and accountability should apply to everyone!!

What you're defending as “constitutional morality” today, was conveniently celebrated as “secularism” by you back then. For years, Hindus silently tolerated blatant appeasement, and anyone raising objections was instantly branded “communal”. So what you're calling the “normalisation of communal politics”, is in reality a backlash against decades of selective secularism, minority appeasement and cynical vote-bank politics. The Modi led BJP Govt govt is dismantling that old Congress model where governance revolved around religious appeasement instead of equal citizenship.
