NEET exam cancellation, paper leaks, and irregularities are serious issues. Students deserve justice and accountability. But these vultures use every sensitive issue to push their own propaganda. The student she is talking about did not commited suicide because of the NEET paper leak. Even the family confirmed it was due to other personal reasons, yet Congressis are deliberately linking it to NEET just to provoke and emotionally manipulate students. This is exactly why many genuine issues eventually lose credibility and seriousness.

The same ecosystem that failed to stop paper leaks in states they ruled, diluted anti-cheating laws, and once joked about exams being written by “looking at books” is now pretending to be the sole voice of students. Concern for students cannot be selective. Accountability cannot be seasonal. But the real question is: when will every political party stop using students as a talking point and start guaranteeing them a fair, transparent, leak-free examination system?

The moment I entered, I started seeing posters mocking the Prime Minister. Not posters demanding justice for the NEET paper leak. Not posters about the CBSE issues. Not posters highlighting the larger problems students are facing in education. It was almost entirely about PM Modi. That’s what made it feel so politically targeted. A protest usually has a clear demand - a “maang” that those in power are being asked to fulfill. But here, I saw opposition leaders being welcomed with applause and affection, while many Gen Z attendees who had simply come to observe were being exposed to a strongly political narrative. There’s nothing wrong with holding a protest against the Prime Minister if that’s your objective. Be transparent about it. But don’t organize it in the name of NEET, display photographs of students who lost their lives by suicid£, and then turn the stage into something that appears focused on politics rather than the students’ demands. If the issue is political, call it political. If the issue is NEET, keep the focus on NEET. Mixing the two, especially while invoking the memory of students who died, felt deeply shameful to me.

There are only 1.7 lakh medical seats in India. For every seat there are 17 students competing. Every time a paper leaks, many dreams of students are getting shattered”! If the intent was genuine support, collateral-free education loans for all needy students could have been offered instead of selective inclusion. Centre repeats the pattern • The Centre partnered with a physics coaching foundation to fund free coaching for 5,000 students for UPSC, SSC and other exams. • Only reserved categories are eligible; EWS is again excluded.
