Today, with great humility and pride, I officially took my Oath of Office and signed the necessary papers to serve as the Elected Councillor for Milkstone and Deeplish Ward in Rochdale. It is an honour to represent our community, and I pledge to work tirelessly alongside Councillor Minaam Ellahi for every resident — regardless of how you voted. This victory belongs to the people of Milkstone and Deeplish. Thank you for your trust, your support, your advice and your belief in me throughout this journey. BREAKING NEWS: Shaykh Luqmani, Allama Ghulam Rabbani Afghani, Mufti Rasool Baksh Saeedi Saab of UK and Europe Hilal Forum announce no positive sighting of the crescent moon and completing 30 days of Shaban and 1st Ramadan on Thursday 19th February 2026. A reminder this is the first time in many years they haven’t followed their previous criteria which aligns with Saudi Arabia. A big moment.
