Spent the evening with children who have type 1 diabetes organised by Diabetes Association of Pakistan. It is not easy for children to live a life without meetha nor is it fair but such is life. As a fellow diabetic myself, I have invited the children to my office for a sugar free dessert treat. Looking forward to hosting the children ❤️

Visited the Garden Pumping Station which was shut down for many years & vested interests used it as a hydrant. Alhamdolillah in order to ensure better water supply to Garden, Ranchore Line, Ghanchi Para & surrounding areas, this pumping station has been revived. Happy to have laid the foundation stone of the new block of KMC’s Karachi Institute of Kidney Diseases. Being run on public private partnership mode, the institute has conducted nearly 4 lac dialysis in the last 5 years making it the 3rd biggest public sector institution of Pakistan after SIUT & PKLI & 1st municipal institution of Pakistan 🇵🇰. Proud of the team giving such great public service 🙏

Visited the new Urban Forest being developed by KMC at Rashid Minhas Road. We had started work in the last week of July & mashallah it is progressing at a good pace. Apart from plantation, we are also developing a walking and jogging track for the people as well as two small lakes. In addition to this 5 acres development, I have also received commitments from two private sector entities for further developing another 5 acres each. United we will move forward for a greener Karachi 🌳
